EN-14 DVD player Video player Set-top box or digital tuner A. Connecting the projector to video equipment • When the projector and the connected devices are loca ted too close to each other , the projected image may be aected by their interference .
EN-15 1. Connect one end of the optional video cable to the VIDEO IN terminal of the projector . 2. Connect the other end of the video cable to the video output terminal of the video equipment. • Also read the instruction manual of the equipment to be connected.
EN-16 Connecting to video equipment having a HDMI t erminal Y ou can projec t high-quality images by connecting the HDMI IN terminal of this projec tor to video equipment ha ving a HDMI output terminal. In addition, this projector supports HDCP and is able to receive encrypted digital video data that are output from DVD pla yers.
EN-17 B. P lugging in the power c ord • In order to ensure the saf ety in case of trouble with the projector , use an elec trical outlet having an ear th leakage breaker to supply the pow er to the projector . If you do not have such outlet, ask your dealer t o install it.
EN-18 1. Put the projector int o standby mode by pressing the main pow er switch. The POWER indicator lights up r ed. • If the projector was turned o before the lamp was c ooled down suciently last time, the lamp may not light up ev en when the POWER button is pressed .

EN-21 How to change the settings: With the r emote control: 1. Pr ess the ASPEC T button. • The screen f or selecting the aspec t ratio appears. 2. Select your desired aspect ratio by pressing the ASPECT button. • The aspect mode is switched between Standard, F ull Screen, Anamorphic1 and Anamorphic2.

EN-39 Picture Mode Y ou can select the most suitable setting to the images you watch. Select Picture Mode in the Picture 1 menu. Cinema This is a mode for wat ching movies in dim lighting as in a theater . VIDEO This is a standard mode suitable f or watching video images, etc .

EN-44 This projector is equipped with a lamp to pr ojec t images. This lamp is a consumable. It may burn out or its brightness may decrease during use. In such cases, r eplace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible. Be sure to r eplace the lamp with a new lamp sold separately that is ex clusive to this projector .
