Operating Instructions V acuum Cleaner S179i Please carefully study these Operating Instructions before attempting to operate the unit and note the listed Important Safety Instructions.

– 4 – A) HANDLE ASSEMBL Y 1) Align the handle with the body of the cleaner as shown in the illustration. 3) Place the hose under the hose clip. Push in to secure.
– 5 – C) ON / OFF SWITCH AND V ARIABLE POWER CONTROL The sliding button - located on the control panel - is used to switch the vacuum cleaner ON/OFF and vary the motor speed depending on the suction required. T o switch ON, slide the button sideways.
– 6 – E) HANDLE HEIGHT AND BEA TER BAR ADJUSTMENT T o lower the body of the cleaner , step on the foot pedal at the bottom left corner of the vacuum cleaner . Once the body is reclined, the brush will automatically start to rotate. If you wish to stop the beater bar , simple return the cleaner into the upright position.
– 7 – I) BAG CHECK INDICA TOR The bag change indicator is a visual aid to advise you of the condition of the dust bag. The GREEN mark indicates that the dust bag is still empty . The RED mark will appear when airflow through the bag is insufficient.
– 8 – FIL TER CARE In addition to the dust bag, the vacuum cleaner contains two filters; a central filter that protects the motor (Fig.1) and an Advanced Micron Filter , "Clean air filter" that removes particles from the exhausted air (Fig.

– 11 – CORD CARE STORING THE APPLIANCE O N B E A TE B A R S T O T o avoid damaging the power cord, never run over the cord or allow it to become caught in the beater bar when using the vacuum cleaner . Hold any excess cord in your free hand while vacuuming in order to avoid running over the cord.

– 5 – C) BOUTON MARCHE-ARR Ê T / CONTR Ô LE É LECTRONIQUE DE PUISSANCE Le curseur , situ é sur le panneau de commande, sert à mettre l ’ aspirateur ou point de MARCHE/ARR Ê T et de changer la vitesse du moteur selon l ’ aspiration requise.
– 6 – AJUSTEMENT DU CORPS DE L ’ ASPIRA TEUR à l ’ aide de la p é dale à pied / MISE EN MARCHE /ARR Ê T automatique de la barre à tapis Pour rebaisser le corps de l ’ aspirateur , appuyer sur la p é dale à pied situ é e sur le c ô t é gauche, au bas de l ’ aspirateur .
– 7 – I) INDICA TEUR DE REMPLISSAGE DU SAC EN P APIER L ’ indicateur de remplissage du sac en papier qui se trouve au haut de l ’ aspirateur , indique normalement que le sac est plein et qu ’ il faut le remplacer . V ous devez changer le sac quand la marque rouge s ’ allume afin de maintenir son efficacit é .
