Installa tion For installing the co oker hood, a cabinet is required. The mi nimum cabinet width required for each model is given below: – DA 262 i = 600 mm (23 5/8") – DA 272 i = 700 mm (21 9/16") – DA 292 i = 900 mm (35 7/16") The exha ust connec tion must be made by a suitably qualifie d and competent pers on.

Installa tion Building in T ake the divi ding wall ou t of the wall unit. Secure the suppor t tracks to both interior walls of the unit usin g two 3,5 x 16 mm ( 5/8 ") sc rews, positi on as illustrated. Push the bracke ts into the slot s on the sides of th e cooker hood.
Installa tion Lift the cooker hood into t he unit from below until the lugs of the brackets lie abov e the suppor t tracks. Then ca refully lowe r the cooker hood. The lugs engage with the suppor t track. T o align the height, t urn the M 6 x 19 mm adjuster screws clock- wise or a nti-clockwise.
Installa tion Attach the spacer ba r to the guide rail (2) located behin d the light tube. Fitting the light tube cover – DA 262 i Position th e light tube cove r and screw into place (see diagram).
Installa tion Pull out the sna p fittings from the slots on the left a nd right hand s ides of the deflector plate (1). Press the baffle (2) int o the en gaging point. Put the snap fittings back in place. The snap fitting w ith the hole must be inser ted on the right.
Fitting the front facia panel / lightshield Scr ew the hin ges (2) supplied to the left and right hand sides of the front facia panel / lightshield (1). With the Miele aluminium lightshiel d the screws are supplied. For lightshields with a Miele kitchen furn iture programme use 3.

Note If the ex haust duct ing is to run through rooms, ceiling space etc. w here there may be great variations in te mperature between the different areas, the prob- lem of sweating or conde nsation will need to be addressed.
Air recirculation If site con ditions are not suitable fo r the cooker ho od to be us ed for air ext rac- tion, the applian ce must be conver ted for recirculation.
