Tested Safety The TA61 has been award ed the GS symbol for “ Gepr ü fte Siche rheit ” (te- sted safety). TA 61 fulfills the r equire- ments for ergonomy according to ZH1/618:1980-10. Additionally, the TA 61 has also been awarded the cUL- and UL- s ymbol.

Mounting keys Exchanging t he Keys You can remove e ach of the ke y caps using th e key removal dev ice enclosed, pulling the key upwards . Place the key removal device on the selected key until you hear a click .
Now remove this key fr om the key- board by pulling up wards. If the key that has been removed has a number or char acter on it, you c an change the lettering as f ollows: Using a thin obje ct (e.g. paper- clip etc.), press upwards agai nst the plastic cove r through the opening on the underside of the k ey.
The labels are repl aced as follows: ➀ Remove the key cap from the keyboard (se e removing the key cap) and pull the trans parent key cap upwar ds. ➁ The transparen t key cover is then rel eased and the label c an be removed.

TA61 keyboa rd without swipec ard reader Keypad Keypad In the TA61 keypad, tw o keys can be combi ned to form a double k ey and four keys to fo rm a quadruple k ey, either horiz ontally or ver tically. Only one key code is generated by each double or quadruple k ey.
Key switch Key swit ch The TA61 keyboard is equi pped with a key sw itch with 6 switch pos itions. Switch position 0 is the basi c position; switc h positions 1- 4 are provided for customer-s pecific appl ications. In posit ions 0 and 1, the key can be r e- moved.
Note the following precautions when handling magne tic cards: ■ Never allow magnetic car ds to come into contact with liquids. ■ Never bend or fold magnetic card s.
