99-9305 DASH DISASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove the hazard/door lock switch. (Figure A) 2 BMW X3 2004-2010 (NON-NA V MODELS) Unclip and remove the a/c vents above the radio .
2 Secure the corresponding brac ket to the aftermarket radio using the hardwar e supplied with the radio . (Figure A) 1 Using a drill screw the radio/brac ket assembly into the dash using the supplied (4) Phillips screws. (Figure B) 2 Position the radio housing over the radio face and secure using the fac- tor y har dwar e.
3 FINAL ASSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
