99-9224 1 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unsnap gear shifter trim panel. (Figure A) 2 Unsnap gear shifter boot to separate it from the gear shifter trim panel and r emo ve trim panel. (Figure B) 3 Remo ve (2) T -25 T orx head screws from bottom of climate controls.
99-9224 2 Remove (2) T -25 T orx head screws from bottom of radio . Unplug and remove the radio . (Figure E) 6 Depress the snaps on the top and bottom of the pocket to remo ve it from the radio brack et. (Figure F) 7 Remove (5) T -25 T orx head screws securing the radio to the radio brack et and slide the br ack et off of the radio .

Using a Phillips screw driver remove the rear support brack et from the radio housing . (Figure A) 1 Snap the radio housing into the radio bracket (r emoved from factor y radio) and replace rear support br acket.
4 FINAL A SSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
