1 99-8219 D ASH DISA SSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove two Phillips screws from bottom part of side trim panels. Figure A) 2 TO Y OT A FJ CRUISER 2007-2009 Using a panel remov al tool, carefully remove the side trim panels.
2 99-8219 KIT ASSEMBL Y Slide the aftermarket radio into the cage and secure . (Figure C) 3 Slide the housing brackets onto the side of the radio housing until the clips engage . Note: Brackets are marked left and right. (Figure A) 1 Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure b y bending the metal locking tabs outw ard.
3 99-8219 KIT ASSEMBL Y Mount the ISO Brackets to the aftermarket radio using the screws supplied with the radio . (Figure B) 2 Slide the radio into the radio housing until the side clips engage . Snap the T rim-plate into the Radio Housing . (Figure C) 3 Slide the housing brackets onto the side of the radio housing until the clips engage .
99-8219 KIT ASSEMBL Y 4 FINAL A SSEMBL Y Make wiring connections using the EIA color code chart shown belo w and the instructions included with the head unit. Metra recommends making connections as shown belo w; Strip, Splice, Solder , T ape. Isolate and individually tape off ends of an y unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
