99-7867 DA SH DISASSEMBL Y A CUR A RS X 2002-2006 A B 1 D isconnect the negative battery ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip the power outlet panel and remove (2) Phillips screws exposed facing up.
99-7867 KIT PREP AR A TION A CUR A RS X 2002-2006 A B 2 Mount the hazard switch to the back of the radio housing with (2) Phillips screws previously removed in Step 7 of the disassembly . ( Figure A) 1 Mount the factory bracket assembly to the back of the radio housing with (4) Phillip screws previously removed in Step 6 of the disassembly .
3 99-7867 KIT ASSEMBL Y DIN RADIO PROVISION Slide the DIN cage into the radio hous- ing and secur e by bending the metal loc king tabs outward. (Figure A) 1 Slide the aftermarket radio into the cage until it snaps into place . (Figure A) 2 Continue to final assembly .
