99-6505 DASH DISASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove the ashtray b y pressing down on the inner spring clip .
99-6505 DASH DISASSEMBL Y 2 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove (2) Phillips head screws from under the climate controls. 2 CHRYSLER SEBRING DODGE STRA TUS 2001-2006 Unclip and remove radio trim panel.
3 99-6505 DASH DISASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Pull off climate control knobs. 2 DODGE NEON 2000-2006 PL YMOUTH NEON 2000-2001 Unclip and remove ac/heater vents. 3 Remove (1) Phillips head screw from each vent cavity .
4 99-6505 DASH DISASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove radio trim panel. 2 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 1999-2004 Remove (4) Phillips head screws securing the radio . Disconnect and remove the radio .
5 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove ashtray and remo ve one Phillips screw exposed. 2 JEEP LIBERTY 2002-2007 Unclip and remove radio/ climate control panel. 3 Remove (4) Phillips screws securing radio .
99-6505 DASH DISASSEMBL Y 6 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Using a small flat blade screw driver , pr y up on center console trim panel.
7 99-6505 KIT ASSEMBL Y Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure b y bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure A) 1 Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage and secure .
8 99-6505 KIT ASSEMBL Y ISO DIN HEAD UNIT PROVISION Slide the head unit/bracket assembly into the radio opening until the side clips engage . (Figure B) 2 Snap the ISO T rimplate over the head unit.
9 FINAL ASSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
