95-5026 1 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove shift lever trim panel. (Figure A) 2 2001-2004 FORD MUST ANG Unclip and remove the entire panel surrounding the radio and climate controls including the vents.
95-5026 2 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove (2) 9/32” screws from above instrument cluster . (Figure A) 2 2003-2006 FORD EXPEDITION Unclip and remove entire panel sur- rounding radio , climate controls, and instrument cluster .
95-5026 3 Disconnect the negative batter y ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove entire panel sur- rounding radio including climate con- trols and vents. (Figure A) 2 2002-2005 FORD EXPLORER 2002-2005 MERCURY MOUNT AINEER Remove (2) 9/32” screws securing r adio .
4 95-5026 Disconnect the negative batter y ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Open center console and remove (1) push pin from back of power window switch panel. (Figure A) 2 2003-2006 LINCOLN NA VIGA TOR Unclip and remove panel. 3 Remove (2) 9/32” screws exposed on shifter panel then unclip and move shifter panel off to side .
5 95-5026 D ASH DIS ASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove vent panel above radio on top of dashboard. (Figure A) 2 2003-2005 LINCOLN A VIA TOR Remove (2) 9/32” screws exposed under panel removed in step 1.
95-5026 KIT ASSEMBL Y 6 2 A Slide the DDIN radio unit into the trim plate bracket assembly and secure the unit to the kit using the screws supplied with the head unit.
95-5026 KIT ASSEMBL Y 7 2 A Slide the stacked ISO DIN units into the trim plate bracket assembly and secure the units to the kit using the screws supplied with the head units.
95-5026 FINAL ASSEMBL Y 8 FINAL A SSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
