4 POWER SOURCES POWER SUPPL Y This TV is designed to operate from 10 “C” size batteries, a 120VAC 60Hz AC Adapter or a Car Adapter. BA TTERIES To operate using batteries, gently remove the battery cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow and insert 10 “C” size batteries following the illustration.
RECHARGEABLE BA TTERIES (NOT INCLUDED) Insert Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries just as you would regular batteries. Slide the CHARGE switch to the CHARGE position. Insert the AC Adapter to the jack labelled “DC 12V” on the unit and to a wall outlet having 120V, 60Hz only.
6 TV OPERA TION TO VIEW A CHANNEL Make sure the EXT/BATT/ CHARGE switch is set properly (see page 5). Slide the TV/ OFF/RADIO switch to the TV position to turn the TV on. 1 Tune a desired TV station by turning the TUNING control ❶ and adjust the VOLUME control ❷ as desired.
7 RADIO OPERA TION TO LISTEN T O THE RADIO Make sure the EXT/BATT/ CHARGE switch is set properly (see page 5). Slide the TV/ OFF/RADIO switch to the RADIO position to turn the radio on. 1 Tune a desired AM or FM station by turning the TUNING control ❶ and a djust the VOLUME control ❷ as desired.
8 CARE AND MAINTENANCE CLEANING To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning. The finish on the unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Mild soap and a dampened cloth may be used.
