4 P ACKA GE CONTENTS Before getting started you will need: • 6 “ AA ” 1.5V Alkaline batteries (sold separately) F irst make sure the contents of your package are complete: A. Whirlwind 3000 micro helicopter B. T ransmitter with integrat ed peak charger C.
5 B. T ail Rotor Con trol Stick - Will spin the Whirlwind 3000 clockwise or counter clockwise depending on the control input. Note: Y ou can only use the tail rotor control stick when thr ottle input is given. C. T ail Rotor T rim Button - This adjusts for straigh t and stable flight when the tail rotor con trol stick is in the neutral position.
6 4) Reattach the battery hatch & secure with the hold-down screw . (Do not over tighten) 5) T urn the T ransmitter ON to make sure that the Red LED illuminat es bright and the transmitter pow ers up and then turn the transmitter OFF . Fresh alkaline batteries will provide about 3-hours or mor e of power to the transmitter depending on use .
7 NO TE: THE TRANSMITTER IS ALWA Y S THE FIRST TO BE SWIT CHED ON, AND THE LAST TO BE SWIT CHED OFF! PRE-FLIGHT CHECK Before y ou switch ON your Whirlwind 3000 AL WAYS mak e sure to release the throttle control stick (left) so the rotor blades do not start up unexpectedly when the Whirlwind 3000 is switched ON.
8 FLIGHT SCHOOL PRE-FLIGHT NO TES • The transmitter is alwa ys rst to be turned ON, and the last to be turned OFF . • Check to make sure the red po wer LED on the transmitter is glowing , if it is not, change the transmitter batteries . • Check to make sure the tail rot or and throttle controls are w ork ing properly .
9 7) T o adjust the helicopter for neutr al (no turning), hovering flight, use the tail rotor trim button located to the left of the tail rotor c ontrol stick. Press the trim button until the helicopter does not mov e left or r ight when no tail rotor c ontrol stick input is given.
10 REP AIRING Y OUR WHIRLWIND 3000 • If the tail rotor disengages or breaks during ight gently pull o the damaged r otor . Pr ess on the new tail rotor included with your kit. Make sure the beveled side of the rotor blades face t oward the tail motor .

Always mak e sure your transmitter batteries are fresh and your Whirlwind 3000 is fully charge d, as this c an b e the cause of many operational issues.
12 PROBLEM CA USE SOL UTION No green light on transmitter when charging or Whirlwind 3000 will not charge Po wer switch on the W hirlwind 3000 and/or the transmitter is not in the correct position for charging Set the Transmitt er power switch to “ON” and then make sure the Whirlwind 3000 power switch is set to “OFF” .
