1 W elcome Congratulations on your choice of a Maytag Jetclean ® dishwasher! Before you use your ne w appliance, please read this guide carefully . Y ou will find instructions on the proper operation and maintenance of your ne w dishwasher . Please record the date of purchase, model, and serial number in the spaces provided belo w .
2 Loading Before Y ou Start • Don’t Prerinse. Simply scrape off any bones or large f ood particles. • If connected to a food waste disposer , mak e certain the disposer is empty bef ore starting the dish- washer . • Scrape off tomato-based f ood soils (see page 8).
3 Lower Rack A v ariety of large items such as dinner plates, mixing bo wls, pots and pans and baking dishes can be loaded in this rack. 3 saucers are loaded on the rack under the Stack-Rack Shelf W ith the Stack-Rack shelf (select models) raised, thin items like cookie sheets or pizza pans may be placed along the left side.
Removing the Upper Rack The upper rack can be remov ed when tall or ov ersized items need to be loaded into the lo wer rack. Note: A void resting items o ver the center w ash to wer . T o remove: • Roll the upper rack 1/3 to 1/2 of the way out. • Remov e the plastic rack stop from the end of each track.
5 Dishwashing Essentials Hot W ater F or optimal cleaning and drying results, hot water is necessary . The incoming water temperatur e should be 120-140º F (49-60° C) to properly acti- vate the detergent and melt gr easy food soils.
6 Delay Resume Controls at a Glance CYCLE Hea vy W ash is for heavily soiled dish loads. Normal W ash is for loads containing dishes with normal amounts of food soils. Light W ash is for washing lightly soiled loads. Rinse Only is for rinsing dishes being held until the dishwasher is full.
Setting the Control Lock: Press the pad for three seconds. An indicator light abov e the pad will illuminate when the controls are locked. T o Cancel: Press the pad for three seconds. The indicator light will go of f. Control Lock Option The control touchpads can be locked to pre vent unwanted use.
8 Care and Cleaning Interior The dishwasher interior is normally self-cleaning. Periodically check the bottom of the dishwasher tub to see if an y lar ge parti- cles hav e not gone through the strainer portion of the module. W ipe the edge of the inner door liner to remove an y food soil splashes which occurred during loading.

14 Chargement A vant de Commencer • Ne pas prérincer . Il suffit de jeter os et gr os morceaux de nourriture. • Si le lave-v aisselle s’évacue dans un broyeur à déchets, veiller à ce que celui-ci soit totalement vide a vant de mettre le la ve-vaisselle en marche .

Pour Retirer le Panier Supérieur On peut retirer le panier supérieur si on désire placer des articles de plus grandes dimensions dans le panier du bas.
17 Points Essentiels Eau Chaude Pour obtenir les résultats v oulus au la vage et au séchage, une eau très chaude est essentielle. Elle doit être entr e 49° et 60° C (120° et 140° F) pour activer le détergent et fair e f ondre la graisse laissée par les ali- ments.
18 Delay Resume Les Contrôles en Bref OPTIONS DE CYCLE Hea vy W ash (gros lav age) con vient à la vaisselle très sale. Normal W ash (lavage normal) est conçu pour la v aisselle normalement sale.
V errouillage des Commandes: Appuyer sur la touche pendant trois secondes. Un vo yant situé au-dessus de la touche s’allume lorsque les commandes sont verrouillées. Pour déverrouiller: Appuyer sur la touche pendant trois secondes. Le vo yant s’éteint.
20 Nettoyage et Entretien Intérieur L ’intérieur de la lav aplatos se nettoie normalement de lui-même. Il est cependant recommandé de vérifier périodiquement, au fond de la cuve, la présence éventuelle de grosses particules qui pourraient ne pas être passées dans le filtre du module.

26 Cargado de la Lavaplatos Antes de Comenzar • No enjuague previamente. Sencillamente r etire todos los huesos o partículas de alimentos grandes. • Si la lav aplatos está conectada a un triturador de des- perdicios, asegúrese de que el triturador esté v acío antes de arrancar la la vaplatos.
27 Parrilla Inferior En esta parrilla se puede cargar una v ariedad de artículos grandes tales como platos grandes, tazones para batir , ollas, sartenes y refractarios.
La parrilla superior puede quitarse cuando se necesite cargar artículos altos o demasiado grandes en la parrilla inferior . Nota: Evite colocar artículos que descansen sobre el centro de la torre de lav ado. Para Quitarla: • Saque la tercera parte o la mitad de la parrilla superior .
29 Información Esencial Sobre Lavado de Platos Agua Caliente Para lograr los r esultados de limpieza y secado óptimos, es necesaria el agua caliente. La temperatura del agua de entrada debe ser de 120-140º F (49-60° C) para que el detergente se activ e correctamente y dis- uelva los r esiduos de alimentos grasosos.
30 Delay Resume Un V istazo a los Controles CICLO Heavy W ash (Car ga Pesada) se utiliza para cargas de v asijas demasiado sucias. Normal W ash (Carga Normal) se utiliza para cargas que contienen v asijas con cantidades nor- males de suciedad. Light W ash (Carga Ligera) se utiliza para lav ar cargas ligeramente sucias.
