15 Maintenance Ho w to Check the Gr ease Lev el Inside the W orm Gear Housing When w e built your Mantis ® XP tiller , w e added grease to properly lubricate the transmission for the f irst 10 hours of operation. As par t of the regular maintenance of your tiller , it is imperativ e that you inspect the grease lev el and add grease if necessary .

Each fall, or before y ou store your Mantis ® XP T iller for an y long period , be sure to take these measures: 1. Do not store your T iller with fuel still in it. Even under ideal conditions, stored fuel containing ethanol or MTBE can star t to go stale in 30 days.
