5 Speed change The rev olutions and b lows per minute can be adjusted just by turning the adjusting dial. The dial is marked 1 (lowest speed) to 5 (full speed). Refer to the tab le below f or the relationship between the number settings on the adjusting dial and the re volutions/ blows pe r mi nut e.
6 For chipping, scaling or demolition oper ations, depress the lock b utton and rotate the change le ver so that the pointer points to the symbol. 7 Side grip CA UTION: • Alwa ys use the side grip to ensure operating saf ety when drilling in concrete, masonry , etc. The side grip swings around to either side , allowing easy handling of the tool in any position. Loosen the side grip by turning it counterclockwise, s wing it to the desired position and then tighten it by turning clockwise .
8 Depth gauge The depth gauge is conv enient f or drilling holes of uni- form depth. Insert the depth gauge into the hole in the grip base. Adjust the depth gauge to the desired depth and then tighten the clamp screw to secure the depth gauge.
9 relubricated after ev ery 6 months of operation. Send the complete tool to Makita Authorized or F actor y Service Center for this lubrication service. Run the tool for se ver al minutes to warm it up. Switch off and unplug the tool. Loosen the four scre ws and remov e the handle.

19 D é branchez le connecteur en tirant dessus . Desserrez les vis et enle vez le le vier de changement de mode. Retirez le couvercle du capuchon de maniv elle. Retirez la plaque de commande. Retirez les six vis av ec un tournevis et retirez le capuchon de manivelle .

27 Instalación o extracción de la br oca Limpie el eje de la broca y apl í quele grasa antes de instalar la broca. Inser te la broca en la herramienta. Gire la broca y presi ó nela hacia dentro hasta que quede encajada. Si la broca no puede ser empujada hacia dentro , ext r á igala.
28 T ope de profundidad El tope de profundidad sirve para taladrar agujeros a una profundidad uniforme. Inserte el tope de profundidad en el agujero de la base de empu ñ adura. Ajuste el tope de profundidad a la profundidad deseada y despu é s apriete el tornillo de la abrazadera para sujetar el tope de profundidad.
29 Deje la herramienta en marcha va rios minutos para calentarla. Apague y desenchufe la herramienta. Afloje los cuatro tornillos y quite mango. T enga en cuenta que los tornillos super iores son diferentes de los otros tornillos. Desconecte el conector tirando de é l.
