7 Lighting up the lamps For Model HP2070F , HP2071F CA UTION: • Do not look in the light or see the source of light directly . T o tur n on the lamp , pull the tr igger . Release the tr igger to turn it off. NO TE: • Use a dr y cloth to wipe the dirt off the lens of lamp.
8 CA UTION: • Use the speed change knob only after the tool comes to a complete stop . Changing the tool speed before the tool stops ma y damage the tool.
9 Installing or removing drill bit For Model HP2070, HP2070F T o install the bit, place it in the chuck as far as it will go . Tighten the chuck b y hand. Place the chuck k ey in each of the three holes and tighten clockwise . Be sure to tighten all three chuck holes e venly .
10 OPERA TION Hammer drilling operation CA UTION: • There is a tremendous and sudden twisting f orce e xerted on the tool/bit at the time of hole break-through, when the hole becomes clogged with chips and par ticles, or when striking reinf orcing rods embedded in the concrete.
11 Drilling in metal T o prev ent the bit from slipping when star ting a hole, make an indentation with a center-punch and hammer at the point to be drilled. Place the point of the bit in the indentation and star t drilling. Use a cutting lubricant when dr illing metals .
12 Cleaning vent holes The tool and its air vents ha ve to be k ept clean. Regular ly clean the tool ’ s air vents or whene v er the vents star t to become obstructed.
