6 Rotation only For drilling in wood, metal or plastic materials, depress the lock b utton and rotate the action mode changing knob to the symbol. Use a twist drill bit or wood bit. Hammering only For chipping, scaling or demolition oper ations, depress the lock b utton and rotate the action mode changing knob to the symbol.
7 If the bit cannot be pushed in, remov e the bit. Pull the chuck cov er down a couple of times . Then insert the bit again. T ur n the bit and push it in until it engages. After installing, alwa ys make sure that the bit is securely held in place by trying to pull it out.
8 Set the action mode changing knob to the symbol. P osition the bit at the desired location f or the hole, then pull the switch trigger . Do not force the tool. Light pressure giv es best results. K eep the tool in position and pre vent it from slipping a wa y from the hole.
