NEW CONSTRUCTION STEP 1 After determining the location of the speaker, atta ch the mounting fl anges to the mounti ng ring as shown in Figure 1.
Page 4 EXISTING CONSTRUCTION STEP 1 After you have determined the location of the spea ker, attach the moun ting flan ges to the mounting ring as shown in Figure 2. Install the m ounting ring in the wall and position it so that the extending flanges are behind the drywall materia l.

Also, make sure the red wire is connect ed to the positive te rminals on the spe aker and t he SUM a nd the black wire is connected to the neg ative term inals.
