1 1 G etting star ted iPod f or Windows works with MUSICMA TCH Jukebo x, included with your i Pod. Use MU SIC MA T CH Jukebox to or ganize music from your CD collection, then transfer songs to iPod for list ening on the go. Read on to fi nd out how to get star ted playing music with iP od.
Ge tting started Install software. If you don ’ t alre ady ha ve MUSICMA T CH Jukebox 7 with the iPod plug-in software , install it using the “iPod f or Windows” CD. Co nnec t iPod . Start up your computer and connect iPod using the included Fir e W i re c a bl e .
Tr a nsfer music. When MUSICMA TCH Jukebox opens, it automatically transfers the songs in your music library to iPod . Play music. Use iPod’ s sc ro ll wheel and Select button to browse for a song.
Usi ng iP od Once you transfer songs to iP od , it ’ s easy to browse f or and listen to songs. Read on for tips on using iP od. Y ou can also find information about using iP od in iPod onscreen help and on the W eb (see “Learning more , ser vice, and suppor t”).
Using iPod 5 Usin g iPod’ s controls Use iPod’ s buttons and scroll wheel to navigate through iP od’ s onscreen menus. T o selec t a menu item, use the scroll wheel to scro ll to the item, then press the S elect button (in the center of iP od). T o go back to the previous menu, press the Me nu button.
Using iPod 6 Tr a nsferring music By default, iPod is set to transf er music automatically when you co nnec t it to your computer . Y ou can also transfer and delete individual songs manually . To c h a n g e i P o d ’s s e ttings, open MUSICMA TCH Jukebox and select “Download files to portable devices” from the File menu.
Using iPod 7 Importing addresses and phone numbers Yo u r i P o d c an store up to a thousand contacts for viewing on the go . 1 Co nnect iPod and open your favorit e email or contacts application. Importing contac ts works with such programs as P alm Desktop, Mi crosoft Outlook, and Eudora.
Using iPod 8 Changing settings Select Se ttings in iP od’ s main menu to change settings. Y ou can set iPod t o shuffle or repeat songs, change equalizer settings, set a backlight timer , and more (see “Learning more , ser vice, and suppor t” for m ore in form at ion ).
