User Man ual English 1 Introduction Thank you f or purchasing the LINDY Mini NAS Enclosure. This enclosu re has been d esigned to add extra storag e to your Mac Mini an d your n etwork, whilst complimenting th e design of your Mac Mini. The small foo tprint design allows it to be seated underneath a Mac Mini, but with its Network and USB 2.
User Man ual English 2 Hardware Asse mbly Before starting t he a ssembly make sure t he jumper(s) on y our hard dr ive are s et to the Master setting. Consult your hard disk m anual or the manufacturer’s website for t he correct j umper setting.
User Man ual English 3 11. Place the hard drive i nto the drive tray an d connect the Mol ex power an d IDE data cables 7. Disconnect the SATA Data cable from the b ridgeboard. Hold the base of the drive enclosure and pull the b ridgeboard up to disconnect it.

User Man ual English 5 Configuring the NA S Enclosure 1. Peer to peer configuration (Dir ect connection to a PC or Mac) Connect the NAS Enclosure to t he LAN port of yo ur PC or Mac us ing an Ethernet cable. Open your web bro wser and key in the IP address 1 69.
User Man ual English 6 3. Passw ord Change In the A dministration mode, you c an choose your own p assword for entering the setup mode. Now you are ready to c onnect the NAS E nclosure to your Net work. 4. Connect the N AS Enclosure Via Ethernet. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Et hernet port of your NAS Enclosure.
User Man ual English 7 5. How to find the NAS Enclosure through IP Finder software. Before you install the IP finder software, your computer must have “ Java Runtime Environment” TM installed.
User Man ual English 8 Double Click the host name t o enter the NAS E nclosure S et Up page, an d enter your password (default password is admin ). 6. How to Map the NAS Enclosure Click Start on your W indows desktop Click Search Select Computer or people Select A computer on the netw ork and a new window will appear.
User Man ual English 9 7. Date and Time s et up On the Set Up page under Administration click Change n ext to Date/Time and you will s ee the page below. You can s et and change the D ate/Time/SNTP/Time S erver and Time Zone information. Click OK to save the set up.

Firmware Upl oad: When new firm ware becomes ava ilable it can be downloaded and stored on you r P C. To insta ll new firmware click Brow se and navigate to t he location that you saved the firmware to.

User Man ual English 15 Using the enclosure with your Mac Mac Mini users: This enclos ure is designed to sit und erneath your Mac Mini. If you want to use this enclos ure with both PCs and Macs, t hen you should use a FAT 32 formatted hard drive.
