6 DLP Personal Projector Adjuster The projector is equipped with 2 qu ick-rele ase adjuster feet. Push the buttons to adjust its tilt angle. 1. Lift the projector up and press the adjuster button to release the adjuster . 2. The adjuster will drop into position and be lo cked.

The distance between the sensor and the remo te control should n ot exceed 6 meters. DLP Personal Projector 9 INSTALLATION Screen Size Place the projector at the re quired dist ance from the screen according to the desired picture size (see the table below). DLP Personal Projector 11 OPERATION Start Up 1. Plug the power cord into a wall socket. 2. T urn on the main power switch. 3. Press POWER to start the unit. The back-lit POWER key flashes green and stays green when the power is turned on. (When the power is turne d off, there is a 120-second cooling period before the projector can be re-started.
12 DLP Personal Projector Digital Keystone Correction Keystoning refers to the situation where the projected image is noticeably wider at either the top or bottom. T o correct this, press KEYST ONE +/- (hot key) on the control panel of the projector or on th e remote control, and then adjust the sliding bar labeled Keystone, as needed.
DLP Personal Projector 13 Source Selection When several input sources are available , press the SOURCE key to make a selection from the co ntro l panel of the projector or the remote control. Menu System Press Menu for the main menu, and then press 3 or 4 to select a sub-menu.
14 DLP Personal Projector 1. Display Menu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Keystone Corrects any keystoning of th e image. Brightness Adjusts the brightness of the image. Contrast Adjusts the degree o f difference between dark and li ght in the image. Phase Adjusts to avoid the occurrence of flicker .
DLP Personal Projector 15 2. Image Menu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Ratio Users have 2 options for the image ratio. 1. 4:3 2. 16:9 H Position Adjusts the horizontal position of the projected image. V Position Adjusts the vertical posit on of the projected image.
16 DLP Personal Projector 3. Source Menu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Mirror Source Selects the input source from among PC, YP B P R, Video and S- Video. Vo l u m e Adjusts the volume level. Tr e b l e Adjusts the treble level. Bass Adjusts the bass level. Mute 1.
DLP Personal Projector 17 4. Control Me nu FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Language Language sets the lang uage for the OSD control menus. Use the 3 / 4 key to select the desired language from among English, French , German, Italian, Spanish, Rus- sian, Polish, Korean, Simpl ified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
18 DLP Personal Projector 5. PIP Menu These functions are available only when the input mo de is PC and the PIP source is Video or S-V ideo. FUNCTION DESCRIPTION PIP Source Selects the source for the PIP . PIP Size Enables use of the 3 / 4 key to scroll through the four alternatives: Off, Small, Medium, Large.
DLP Personal Projector 19 Shutdown 1. Press POWER and a warn ing message will appear . T o turn off the projector , press POWER again. 2. The fan will continu e to run for approximately two minutes. 3. T urn off the ON/OFF switch. 4. Disconnect the power cord from the wall socket.
20 DLP Personal Projector MAINTENANCE Lamp Information Use and Replacement of th e Lamp When the Lamp Indicator lights up red or a message appears sug gesting the time of lamp replacement, please install a new lamp or consult your dealer . An old lamp could cause a malfunction in the projector and in rare instances may even explode.
DLP Personal Projector 21 Caution T o reduce the risk of severe burns, allo w th e projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before replacing the lamp. T o reduce the risk of in juries to fingers and damage to internal com po- nents, use caution when removing la mp glass that has shattered into sharp pieces.
