• Always use the LITE position when igniting the top burners and make sure the burners have ignited. • Never leave the surface burners unattended at high flame settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may catch on fir e. • Adjust the top burner flame size so it does not extend beyond the edge of the cookware.
6 • Use only dry pot holders—moist or damp pot holders on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do not let pot holders come near open flames when lifting cookware. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth in place of a pot holder . • When using glass cookware, make sur e it is designed for top-of-range cooking.
7 • The purpose of the warming drawer is to hold hot cooked foods at serving temperature. Always start with hot food; cold food cannot be heated or cooked in the warming drawer . • Do not use the drawer to dry newspapers. If overheated, they can catch on fire.

W atch the flame, not the knob, as you r educe heat. When fast heating is desired, the flame size on a gas burner should match the cookware you ar e using.

13 OVEN VENT Y our oven is vented through ducts at the r ear of the range. Do not block these ducts when cooking in the oven—it is important that the flow of hot air fr om the oven and fresh air to the oven burner be uninterrupted. A void touching the vent openings or nearby surfaces during oven or broiler operation—they may become hot.
14 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS T ouch the BAKE pad. T ouch the number pads to set the desired temperatur e. T ouch the ST ART pad. The word ON and 100° will be displayed. As the oven heats up, the display will show the changing temperatur e. When the oven r eaches the temperature you set, a tone will sound.
OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS 15 Serve the food immediately, and leave the pan outside the oven to cool during the meal for easiest cleaning. Use LO Broil to cook foods such as poultry or thick cuts of meat thoroughly without over-browning them. Always use the broiler pan and grid that came with your oven.
16 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS BROILING GUIDE The size, weight, thickness, starting temperature and your prefer ence of doneness will affect broiling times. This guide is based on meats at refrigerator temperatur e. USING THE OVEN Food Quantity and/or Thickness Shelf* Position First Side Time (min.
17 T ouch the CLOCK pad once to set. T ouch the number pads to enter the time. T ouch the number pads the same way you read them. For example, to set 12:34, touch the number pads 1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 in that or der . If number pads are not touched within one minute after you touch the CLOCK pad, the display reverts to the original setting.

NOTE: If your recipe r equires pr eheating, you may need to add additional time to the length of the cooking time. T ouch the number pads to set the desir ed length of cooking time.
19 The oven will continue to cook for the set amount of time, then turn off automatically , unless the Cook and Hold feature was set. See the Special Features of Y our Oven Control section. After the oven turns off, the end-of-cycle tone will sound. T ouch the CLEAR/OFF pad to clear the display if necessary .
20 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS Insert the probe into the food. Plug the probe into the outlet in the oven. Make sure it’ s pushed all the way in. Close the oven door . T ouch the PROBE pad. T ouch the number pads to set the desired internal food or meat temperature between 100°F and 200 °F .
21 USING THE CONVECTION OVEN (on some models) The convection oven fan shuts off when the oven door is opened. DO NOT leave the door open for long periods of time while using convection cooking. T o help you understand the dif ference between convection bake and roast and traditional bake and roast, her e are some general guidelines.
22 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS USINGTHECONVECTIONOVEN (on some models) AUTOMATIC RECIPE CONVERSION You can use your favorite recipes in the convection oven. When using CONVECTION BAKE, the CONVECTION AUTO CONVERSION feature will automatically convert the temperature from regular baking to CONVECTION BAKE temperatures.
23 MULTI-SHELF BAKING Because heated air is circulated evenly throughout the oven, foods can be baked with excellent results using multiple shelves. Multi-shelf baking may increase cook times slightly for some foods but the overall result is time saved.

25 The oven will turn on immediately and cook for a selected length of time. At the end of the cooking time, the oven will turn off automatically . T ouch the CONVECTION BAKE pad. T ouch the number pads to set the desired oven temperatur e. T ouch the COOK TIME pad.

27 SPECIAL FEA TURES OF YOUR OVEN CONTROL TONES AT THE END OF A TIMED CYCLE At the end of a timed cycle, 3 short beeps will sound followed by one beep every 6 seconds until the CLEAR/OFF pad is touched.
28 Make sure the clock shows the correct time of day and the oven is off. Press and hold both the BAKE and BROIL HI/LO pads, at the same time , until the display shows SF . T ap the DELA Y ST AR T pad until SAb bAtH appears in the display . T ouch the ST AR T pad and ⊃ will appear in the display .
29 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS USING THE SABBA TH FEA TURE NOTE: When the display shows ⊃ the oven is set in Sabbath. When the display shows ⊃ the oven is baking/roasting. T o adjust the oven temperatur e, touch the BAKE pad, enter the new temperature using the number pads, and touch the ST ART pad.
30 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS HOW TO ADJUST THE OVEN THERMOST A T ADJUSTING THE OVEN THERMOSTAT You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself.
31 USING THE ELECTRIC W ARMING DRA WER TO USE THE WARMING DRAWER T ouch the W ARMING DRAWER pad. “Hot” and “1” are lit on the display and “Set” begins to blink. On the number pad, press 1 for Low , 2 for Medium or 3 for High. The display “1” changes corr esponding to the number pad selected.
32 USING THE ELECTRIC W ARMING DRA WER TEMPERATURE SELECTION CHART T o keep several dif ferent foods hot, set the control to the food needing the highest setting. • The temperature, type and amount of food, and the time held will affect the quality of the food.
33 OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS USING THE SELF-CLEANING OVEN For the first self-clean cycle, we recommend venting your kitchen with an open window or using a ventilation fan or hood. Remove the broiler pan, br oiler grid, all cookwar e, probe and any aluminum foil from the oven—they cannot withstand the high cleaning temperatures.
34 USING THE SELF-CLEANING OVEN Make sure the clock shows the corr ect time of day . T ouch the SELF CLEAN pad. Using the number pads, enter the desired clean time. T ouch the DELA Y ST AR T pad. The earliest start time you can set will appear in the display .
35 CARE AND CLEANING Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range. If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip device is re-engaged properly when the range is replaced.
36 BURNER CAPS AND HEADS BURNER CAPS Lift off when cool. W ash burner caps in hot, soapy water and rinse with clean water . Y ou may scour with a plastic scouring pad to remove burned-on food particles. C ARE AND CLEANING OF THE RANGE Burner cap is properly seated.
Lift out when cool. Grates should be washed r egularly and, of course, after spillovers. W ash them in hot, soapy water and rinse with clean water . When replacing the grates, be sur e they ar e positioned secur ely over the burners. Replace the grates so that continuous arcs ar e formed with the center ribs of all thr ee grates.
38 ST AINLESS STEEL SURF ACES Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratch the surface. T o clean the stainless steel surface, use warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Always wipe the surface in the direction of the grain. Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaning the stainless steel surface.
39 OVEN DOOR The oven door is removable, but it is heavy . Y ou may need help removing and replacing the door . T o r emove the door , open it a few inches to the special stop position that will hold the door open. Grasp firmly on each side and lift the door straight up and off the hinges.
40 BROILER P AN AND GRID After broiling, r emove the broiler pan fr om the oven. Remove the grid from the pan. Car efully pour out grease fr om the pan into a proper container . W ash and rinse the broiler pan and grid in hot water with a soap-filled or plastic scouring pad.
41 REMOV ABLE W ARMING DRA WER NOTE: Before performing any adjustments, cleaning or service, disconnect the range electrical power supply at the household distribution panel by removing the fuse or switching off the circuit breaker . Make sure the warming drawer heating element is cool.
