8 206-41 18 Installer Overview This is the Commercial Mode Setup guide only . Operating Installer Menu T o set up the controls for the TV , you will need to know how to enter the TV Installer Menu and make changes to the default values as required.

Set up commercial features of the TV . Enter the Installer Menu, and set all desired items as required (for exam ple, T uning Band, Start Channel, etc.

11 206-41 18 DELETE Removes channel from lineup . ADD After inputting a new channel’s data, press to add channel to list. CHANNEL MAP EDITOR Shows both Channel Data and Logical Channel Lineup. EXIT Exits menu and returns to Logical Channel listing. LOGICAL CHANNEL NUMBERS Channels appear in numerical order .

21 206-41 18 Before you begin cloning: • The Master TV should be connected to a good, stable signal from an over-the-air antenna or cable service analog channel and should also be connected to power (see above). • T eaching and Learning is only possible between identical model devices.
22 206-41 18 Use the MPI Cable to Connect the L T2002 Clone Programmer to the Master TV MPI Port If there is a good connection, “THE CLONE HAS CONTROL OF THE TV” message will appear .

31 206-41 18 Changing a Channel’s ICON on the Master TV 1. With Channel Up/Down, select the channel for which you wish to change the icon. 2. With the ADJ Left/Right arrow, select the thin letter “ I ” on the Channel ID display. 3. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the icon with which you want to identify the channel.
32 206-41 18 Checking the Software V ersion Y ou can check the software version of the TV by accessing the Installer Menu. T o do this, press MENU repeatedly until the on-screen menu locks up. Then, press 9-8-7-6 + ENTER . When you are finished, press ENTER again to exit the Installer Menu.

38 206-41 18 Some Quick and Easy T ips for Resolving Problems Software Problems Cannot direct enter channel number or “No Signal” appears. Channel not included in Channel Scan in TV controller . After 2-5-5 + MENU, only channels included in TV controller will appear .
39 206-41 18 Reset Clone After Static Shock After replacing exhausted batteries, or if the Clone Programmer behaves strangely after a static shock, use a paper clip or similar instrument inserted through the small hole marked RESET to activate the internal reset switch and restore normal operation.
