5 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRATIONS NOT TO SCALE. Outside Combustion Air Controls Many appliances are equipped, when installed, with an outside (make-up air) vent system that is designed to provide the appliance with outside make-up air for combustion when in operation.

8 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRATIONS NOT TO SCALE. Refer to Figure 6 and remove the front glass enclosure panel as follows: 1. Remove the top bustle, and the top louver assembly or radiant panel. Then remove the bottom bustle. 2. Open the control compartment access panel.
9 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRATIONS NOT TO SCALE. Log Placement The log set is located within the firebox area. One plastic bag of glowing embers, one plastic bag of decorative volcanic stone and one bag of vermiculate, is located in the bottom compart- ment.
10 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRATIONS NOT TO SCALE. Electronic Appliance Checkout To light the burner, refer to the lighting instruc- tions on page 16 and 17 . Ensure the ignitor lights the pilot. The pilot flame should engulf the flame sensor as shown in Figure 12 .

Both types of kits are easy to install and do not require hardware to attach them to the standard door frame. These kits can be retrofitted to previously installed Multi-Open Series appliances.

These louvers are designed to replace the standard radiant panels that are provided with the appliance.
