2 W e recommend using freshly r oasted espresso beans ground medium to fine . F resh coffee will pr oduce better tasting espresso . W e also recommend bottled water as tap wa ter may cause a build-up of calcium ov er time.
3 Instructions for using ground cof fee: Y our la Pavoni is equipped with a pressurized filter handle. The handle uses only one coffee filter basket. Fill the cof fee filter ½ full when making one cup of esp res so or ¾ full when making two espressos.

5 Steaming using the cappuccino automatic device: T o Mount: The steam knob should be in the closed position. Remove the plated steam arm, (u se a to wel as it may be warm to th e to uch if pre vio usly us ed) by tur ning up an d pul lin g ou twa rd. Replace with the black aerator cup by pushing in.
