20 Making and Answ ering Calls 1. When a call comes in , press to select Hold Call. The caller will be placed on ho ld and will hear y our recorded hold message. 2. T o speak to the caller , select Answer . -or- T o ha ng up without speaking to the caller , select End Call .

24 Making and Answ ering Calls Setting up speed dialing S peed dialing allows you to quickl y dial a stored phone number by entering a one- or two-digit speed dialing locat ion. 1. Locate a saved cont act. 2. Highlight the phone number and press . 3. Sel ect Speed Dial ing.

Enter your passc ode, which you obtain f rom your service provider . 3. Follow the system prompt s to create a p assword and record a greeting.

28 Making and Answ ering Calls Changing the keyguard setting 1. Sel ect Menu → Settings → Keyguard. 2. Highlight an option. Y ou can set the phone to lock the keyp ad immediately , o r automatically if n o key is pressed a f ter 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes.

T iming your calls If you want to know how long you are spending on a call, you can set your phone to beep 10 seconds before each minute p ass es. •S e l e c t Menu → Settings → Sounds → Minute Alert → Enable d.

44 Storing Contacts – Numb er T ype — Se lect wor k, home, mobile, pager , or fax. The number type will appear as an icon next to the number in the Contact s list. – Add V oice Dial— S peak the name of the cont act person for this number so that you can dial it using voice recognition (VR).
