- 2 - CD CLOCK RADIO Intended Usage The intended uses for this appliance are the reception of FM / AM radio transmissions and as an alarm clock, using signal tones or the radio itself. This ap- pliance is intended for use only in domestic settings. It is not suitable for use in commercial or industrial areas.
- 3 - • T o av oid t he risks of tripping, do not use an ex- tension cable. In the event of danger , the plug must be quickly and easily accessible. • Y ou may not open or repair the appliance casing yourself. Should y ou do so, appliance safety is no longer assured and the warranty becomes void.
- 4 - Electro-magnetic fields This appliance complies with the statutor y limits for electro-magnetic compatibility! If y ou still have any doubts regarding its use in bedr ooms: It is completely safe to install the clock at a distance of half a meter away fr om t he bed.
- 5 - Commissioning Unpack the appliance Remo ve all packing material. Remov e also the trans- por tation lock from the CD compartment. Attention! Do not permit small children to play with the plastic pack aging.
- 6 - Radio oper ation 1. Slide the function selector switch 3! to the position RADIO . 2. Slide the waveband selector switch 2^ to the position FM (VHF) or AM (MW). 3. T o optimise reception, extend the FM aerial 2* to its full length. For the AM wav eband, t he ap- pliance needs to be fine-tuned to achieve opti- mum reception.
