11 KH 2190 GB IE Handling and operation Open the cov er of the batter y compar tment 11 on the bottom of the appliance. Insert a 9V Block batter y (not supplied) into the batter y compar t- ment 11 . Ensur e that the polarities are correct. Close the batter y compartment 11 by r eplacing the cover and allowing it to lock into place.
12 KH 2190 GB IE Handling and operation NOTE The time of day will reset to 0:00 if the appliance is discon- ► nected from the mains po wer source and no batteries hav e been inser ted. Radio operation Press the ON/OFF button 12 to switch the appliance on.
13 KH 2190 GB IE Handling and operation Progr amming alarm times When progr amming the alarm times, you can select whether , at the progr ammed time, alarm tones should sound or the radio should start playing. Tw o diff erent alarm times (Alarm 1/Alarm 2) can be progr ammed.
14 KH 2190 GB IE Handling and operation Alarm call with t he radio If you wish to be w oken b y the radio, carr y out the following additional settings in addition to progr amming the alarm time: Press the ON/OFF button 12 to switch the appliance on.
