- 4 - Thank you f or purchasing the Model BE-100HT Headset Telephone. T he BE-100HT is a ful l featured compa ct telephone, designed to provide hand s-free operat ion using a comfortable lightweig ht headset.

- 6 - An optiona l belt clip i s supplied with y our BE-100HT headset telephone. It ca n be easily ins talled or removed as re quired. See Fig ur e 2 1. Insert the b elt clip mou nting tabs into the corre sponding mounting ho les located o n the rear surfa ce of the BE-100HT.
- 7 - INST ALLING YOUR H EADSET TEL EPHONE The BE-100HT is a complete telephone and c an be used i n the same manne r as any single l ine telephone. S ee Figure 3 1. Insert the plug fro m the headset cord in to the modular jack marked HEADSET on the left side of t he BE-100HT.
- 8 - USING T HE HE ADSET The BE-100HT is supplied with a high quality micro phone to provide cl ear voic e communic ations. The b oom micr ophone can be sw iveled to pos ition so the headset can be used on eithe r ear. See Figure 4 OPERAT ION 1. Place the he adband over your head w ith the spea ker on the ear of y our preference.
- 9 - 6. Alway s leave enough slack in the cord so that y ou can mo ve your head free ly. M A KING OUT GOING CALLS 1. Put on the headset and ad just it for your comfort. 2. Adjust boom microphone s o that it is ab out the width of two fingers fr om your mouth.
- 10 - 3. When you hear an incoming call ringing, pu sh the BE-100HT TALK button (7). The BE-100 HT telephone will answ er the call and the IN USE LED w ill light. 4. Begin speaking nor mally into the micropho ne. 5. After completi ng your conversation , push the TA LK button (7) to hang up and discon nect the call.
- 11 - 1. The redial fu nction will dial n umbers up to a max imum of 32 digits. FLASH BUTTO N The FLASH button (9) when pres sed will create a quick break on the telephon e line. 1. The fla sh button can be used if y ou have call waiting serv ice to switch betw een calls (con sult your local tele phone compa ny for thi s se rvic e).
