6 Wa s h S y s t e m The wash sys tem provides exce llent cl eaning results . T wo level s of filtration fi lter the wa sh water and pr e vent food p articles fr om redepositi ng on the clean dishes . ■ A filter plat e prevents bo nes, pits , and oth er large objects fro m e ntering the pu mp sy stem .

8 T o r e move either insert 1. Gently pul l in and up on the hand le to release t he inse rt hand le from th e b ase rac k. 2. Once t he hand le is lif ted up , tilt the inse rt to th e left or right to release the insert l egs on the other end from their position under the base ra ck wir e.
9 NOTE S: ■ Do not load silve r or silver -plated s ilver war e with stai nles s steel. Thes e metals can be damaged by con tact with each other during wash ing. ■ Some foods (such as salt, vinega r , milk pr oducts, f ruit j uices, etc.) can pi t or corrode silverware.
10 Rinse Aid Dispenser The r egular use of liquid ri nse aid gives th e best drying r e sults. Rinse aids p revent water from formin g droplets that can d ry as spots or streaks. They als o help prevent metal from tarn ishing. They impr ove drying by al lowing water to drain off of th e dishes during th e final rinse.
11 W a sh Cycles Selec t the wash cycl e desired. The ind icator is lit above the s electe d cycle. Press th e Start/Pau se butto n. This model meets the ENERG Y ST AR ® guidelin es for energy efficiency . NOTE : Please refer to “Dete r gent Use” for recommended detergent dispen ser sectio ns and powdered detergent amounts to use.
12 Cancelin g a Cycle T o en d a wash cycl e in mid-cy cle, press the Power bu tton. Any water in the dr awer will be pumped out. Pausing a Cycle T o p ause the d rawer during its wash cy cle, press ST ART/P AUS E and wait for 3 b eeps befo re opening.
13 Delay Start mode The start of t he select ed wash cyc le can be delaye d from 1 to 12 hours. T o activate the De lay Start 1. Press and hold the Start /Pause button u ntil the light abov e turns orange or lavender depending on model. 2. The dish was her will bee p as you ho ld down the butt on.
14 T o remove the “ End of W ash ” cy cle beep s The factory has programmed the dishwash er to beep 6 times at the end of the selected was h cycle. Thi s feature can be tur ned off. 1. Enter the Opti on Adjustment Mode as explai ned at the beginning of this section.
15 DISHWASHER CARE Clea ning Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, damp clot h or sponge and a mild d eter gent is a ll th at is n ece ssary to ke ep t he ou tside of you r dishwash er looking nice an d clean. Dry with a clean, li nt-free cloth.
16 Drain Air Ga p Check the drain air gap anytime y our dishwas her isn’t draining well. Some state or loc al plumbin g codes require the addi tion of a drain air gap bet ween a built-in dishwash er and the ho me drain system. If a drain is clogged, the drain air gap prot ects your dishwasher fr om wa ter backing u p into it.
