MPEG: Mo ving Pictur e Expert Gr oup (D VD, V CD) This is an international standard for digital video and audio compression and decompression in media.
Increasing V olume: Press the u but ton to turn up the volume. Decreasing V olume: Press the d but ton to turn down the v olume. V olume T urning on the po wer: Press the SR C but ton. T urn the power on bef ore carr ying out the follo wing procedures.
• The mode switc hes to the next mode from an y mode whic h cannot be used. • The external disc control mode will dif fer depending on the unit that is connected. • Y ou cannot use the A UX input function of the optional switc hing adapter KCA-S21 0A if this unit is connected with the KCA- S21 0A.
This function switc hes the type of information on the upper part display when the display mode is "Display T ype A" or "Display T ype B" .
In Exter nal disc contr ol mode: • Y ou can give names to discs through the preset ting disc name function (page 50). Note that depending on the unit, display ma y not be possible. • If you tr y to display the name of a disc that does not ha ve one, "NO NAME" is display ed instead.
In D VD mode: In V CD/CD mode: In Exter nal disc contr ol mode: Spectrum Analyzer Spectrum Analyzer + Clock Date + Function indicator Disc T itle (Units featuring CD text/MD only) + Function indicator.
This function switc hes the type of information on the display when the display mode is "Display T ype C". Eac h time you press the S .A but ton, the full screen display c hanges as follo ws: • For displa y mode selection, see "Switc hing display mode" (page 1 2).
The faceplate of the unit can be detac hed and taken with you, helping to deter theft. Removing the F aceplat e: Press the release but ton and drop open the faceplate. Holding the centre part of the faceplate, pull it out. Push upw ard the bac k of the faceplate brac ket until it loc ks.

Store the frequency of the station currently being listened to. Y ou can then recall that station with a single touc h of a button. Select the band/station that you want to ha ve stored. Hold down the but ton (#1 -6) that you w ant to use for the station, for two seconds or more.

Preset the v olume level to be used for traffic information and news broadcasts. T une into the st ation for whic h y ou want to set the volume. Adjust the v olume to the desired level. Hold down the TI V OL AD J but ton for two seconds or more. The v olume level blinks once in the displa y to indicate that the data has been stored.

English — 68 — Connecting the ISO Connector (see p . 67) The pin arrangement f or the ISO connectors depends on the type of vehicle you driv e. Make sure to make the proper connections to prev ent damage to the unit. The def ault connection for the wiring harness is described in 1 below .
