8 CONNECTING THE DISHWASHER Connecting the Faucet Ad apter NOTE : A special adapter must be i nstalled on th e faucet before the dishw asher can be connec ted. Complete I nstallation Instructi ons and the ad apter are packed with you r dishwasher . (See the Ins tallation Inst ructions.
9 Using th e Faucet Y ou can draw water from the fau cet while the di shwasher is connecte d. NOTE : Do not draw water wh ile the dis hwasher is fil ling or whil e water is being p umped ou t. (This help s avoid a low fill when dishwashe r is filling or mi xing drai n water with fr esh wat er when dishwas her is draini ng.
10 Loading T op Rack The top rack is designed for cups, glasses, a nd smalle r items. (See recommended loadin g pattern s shown.) NOTE : The features on your dis hwasher rack may vary from the drawings shown. ■ Place items so op en ends face down for clean ing and draining.

13 Dishwasher Efficiency Tips Hot water dis s ol ves an d act ivates t he dishwash ing dete r gent. Hot wate r also dissolv es gre ase on dishes and help s glass es dry sp ot- free. For best dishwash ing resul ts, water should be 120 ° F (49 ° C) as it ente rs the di shwasher .
14 * If the incoming water temperature is less than the recommended temperat ure, the cycle will aut omatically compensat e by adding time an d heat as need ed. Canc eling a Cycle 1. Press CANCEL/DRAIN. The Cancel/Drain light glows . 2. The dishwa sher starts a 2- minute drain (i f needed).
15 Hi T emp Sele ct this option to heat the wa ter to 140 º F (60 º C) dur ing parts of the cycl e. Heating the w ater helps imp r ove wa shing results. This option adds heat, water and wash time to parts of the cycle. Hi T emp wash i s useful when lo ads contain t ough food soil ite ms.
