E INST ALLA TION FLOW Follow the steps belo w for installation. PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE INST ALLA TION Pa g e 3 , 4 ● Install the MC-R434U in the CD/D VD Library .
E ENGLISH 1. Select the [DOOR OPEN MODE] on the MENU screen of the CD/D VD Library's LCD . 2. Press and hold the "SELECT" switch f or five seconds . 3. Tu rn off the power of the CD/D VD Librar y when [THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED] message is displa y ed on the LCD .
E <MC-R434U connection example> 1. Connect the power supply cable, control cable and SCSI cable to the connectors at the rear of the MC-R434U. 䡵 When using the MC-8100LU, the No. of the cable must alwa ys correspond to the No . of the drive ba y to which it is being connected.
E ENGLISH 2. Connect the two L VD power cables (6P) to the SE-L VD conv ersion board. 䡵 Both cables ha v e identical connector types, so that ei- ther cable can be connected to either connector on the SE-L VD conv ersion board. 3. Connect the internal SCSI (SE) cable (50P) to the SE-L VD conversion board.
E 䡵 The length of the SCSI cable b uilt into the CD/D VD library is 1.0 meters. 䡵 When the built-in SCSI cable is used by connecting it to an external SCSI cable, check the total length of the SCSI cable. If it should exceed the length described below it might be the cause of a malfunction.

G DEUTSCH 1. W ählen Sie in dem auf der LCD-Anz eige der CD/D VD- Bib liothek dargestellten Menü den Eintrag [DOOR OPEN MODE]. 2. Halten Sie den Schalter “SELECT” für fünf Sekunden gedrückt. 3. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung der CD/D VD-Bibliothek aus, sobald die Meldung [THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED] auf der LCD-Anzeige erscheint.
G <Anschlussbeispiel MC-R434U> 1. Schließen Sie das Netzkabel, Steuerkabel und SCSI-Kabel an die entsprechenden Anschlüsse auf der Rückseite des MC-R434U an. 䡵 Bei Benutzung des MC-8100LU muß die Kabel-Nr . immer der Nr . des Laufwerkeinschubs entsprechen, an dem es angeschlossen ist.
G DEUTSCH 1. ID2, ID1, ID0: Einstellung der SCSI-ID-Nr. für jedes Laufwerk. 䡵 Achten Sie darauf , keine SCSI-ID Nr . zu verwenden, die bereits einem anderen SCSI-P eripheriegerät des gleichen Busses zugewiesen wurde . 䡵 Dem MC-R434U muss eine der SCSI ID-Nummern 0 bis 7 zugewiesen w erden.
G Hostcomputer CD/DVD-Bibliothek An den SCSI- Anschluss, “IN” Buchse “SCSI-C” An den Hostadapter des Hostcomputers zur Steuerung der CD/DVD-Bibliothek Externes SCSI-Kabel (im Fachhandel erhältlich) (Ultra160-kompatible) 1. W ährend Sie die T aste “8” auf der Bedientafel gedrückt halten, schalten Sie die CD/D VD-Bibliothek ein.

F FRANÇAIS 1. Sélectionnez [DOOR OPEN MODE] dans l’écran MENU sur l’affichage LCD de la bibliothèque CD/D VD . 2. Appuyez sur la commande “SELECT” pendant cinq secondes. 3. Mettez la bibliothèque JVC hors tension quand le message [THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED] apparaît sur l’affichage LCD .
F 1. Insérez le MC-R434U par l’arrière de la bibliothèque CD/ DV D. 䡵 F aites attention de ne pas endommager le palpeur. 䡵 Insérez le MC-R434U dans le sens correct. 䡵 Ve illez à ce qu’aucun câble r accordé à l’arrière de la bibliothèque CD/D VD ne soit coincé à l’introduction du MC-R434U .
F FRANÇAIS 1. ID2, ID1, ID0: Réglage du n˚ ID SCSI de chaque unité 䡵 Au réglage du n˚ ID SCSI, utilisez un n uméro non utilisé par d’autres périphér iques SCSI du même b us. 䡵 Le MC-R434 doit être utilisé av ec un SCSI à numéro d’identification 0 à 7.
F 1. Mettez la bibliothèque sous tension en maintenant la tou- che "8" du panneau de commande pressée. 2. Mettez la bibliothèque hors tension quand l'affichage LCD indique "DRIVE DETECTION COMPLETED". 3. Remettez sous tension et vérifiez l’indication du type d’unité (DRIVE DISPLA Y).
