4 Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to using for the first time • Follow the ”Instructions for install ation and connect ion” . Corr ect Use • The dishwasher is only intended for washing domestic dishes. • Additions or modifications to the dishwasher ar e not permitted.
5 Gener al Safety • Repairs to the dishwasher ar e only to be carried out by qualified/au- thorised service engineers. • When the dishwasher is not being used, switch it off and shut off the water tap. • Never unplug the appliance by pullin g on the cable.
6 Diagr am of Appliance Contr ol P anel To use the appliance, always open the dishwasher door first. The ON/OFF button is used to turn the dishwasher on and off.
7 The Pr ogramme buttons are used to select the desir ed dishwashing cy- cle. Function buttons : In addition to the pre-set dishwashing cycle, the following functions can also be set using these buttons: The multi-display can indicate: – the level of har dness to which the water softener is set.
8 Prior to Using for the First Time 1. Set the water softener 2. Fill up with dishwasher salt 3. Fill up with rinse aid 3 If you wish to use 3in1 detergent, do the following: – First r ead the section “Using 3in1 detergents” . – Switch on the dishwasher , press 3i n1 button.
9 3 If the LED indicator of only one pr ogr amme button is illuminated, this wash progr amme has been activated. The wash pr ogramme must be deselected: Press function buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously for approx. 2 seconds. The LED indicators of a ll the buttons tha t can be selected will illumi- nate.
10 Adding Dishwasher Salt To decalcify the water soft ener , it mu st be filled up with dishwasher salt. Use only special salt suitable for domestic dis hwashers. If you do not use 3 in1 detergent, fill up with dishwasher salt: – Before usin g the dishwasher for the first time.
11 Filling Up with Rinse Aid Rinse aid causes the rinse water to fl ow easily from the cr ockery leav- ing gleaming dishes and glassware. If you do not use 3in1 detergent, fill up with rinse aid: – Before usin g the dishwasher for the first time. – When the control indicator for rinse aid is illuminated on the contr ol panel.
12 Setting the Amount of Rinse Aid Requir ed 3 Only change the amount dispensed, if smears, milky spots (reduce the amount) or dried on water spots (inc rease the amount) can be seen on glasses and dishes. (See section “If di shwashing results are not satisfac- tory” .

14 In Daily Use Loading Cutlery and Dishes 1 Sponges, cleaning cloths and any ot her objects that ca n absorb water must not be washed in the dishwash er . Plastic and Teflon-coated dishes and pans tend to r etain water droplet s. These dishes an d pans therefor e do not dry as well as those made of china and stainless steel.
15 Loading cutlery 1 War n i n g : Sharp knives and other items of cutlery with sharp edges must be laid in the cutlery r ack or in the upper basket to avoid the risk of injury .
16 Po t s, Pa n s, L a rg e P l a te s Load larger and heavily soiled dishes and pans in the lower basket. (Max. diameter for plates 29 cm). To make it easier to load lar ger dish- es, all rear plate r ests in the lower basket can be folded down.
17 • The cup r acks can be folded up out of the way for tall cr ockery items. • Lay or hang wine and b randy glasses in the slots in the cup rac k s . • For glasses with long stems, fold the glass r ack to the right, other- wise fold it away to the left.
18 Adjusting the Height of the Upper Basket 3 The height of the baskets can also be adjusted when they are loaded. Raising/Lowering the Upper Bas- ket 1. Pull out the upper basket complete- ly . 2. Raise the upper bask et as far as it will go and then lower it vert ically .
19 Adding Deter gent De t e rge n t s re mo v e t h e di r t f ro m dishes and cutlery . The detergent must be added befor e the cycle starts. 1 Only use deter gent intended for do- mestic dishwashers. The detergent compartment is lo- cated on the inside of the door .
20 Concentr ated detergents Today’ s deter gents for dishwashers ar e almost exclusively low-alkaline concentrated deter gents with natu r al enzymes in tablet or powder form.

22 Starting a Dishwashing Cycle 1. Check that the spray arms can turn fr eely . 2. Turn the water tap on fully . 3. Press the ON/OFF button. 4. Select the desired cycle. The pr ogramme indicator comes on. The r emaining time expected for the cycle will be shown in the multi-dis play .
23 Setting the Delay Timer 3 With the delay timer you can delay t he start of a dishwash ing cycle for between 1 and 19 hours. 1. Press the Delay Timer button r epeat edly until th e multi-display shows the desired time delay , for example 12h , if the cycle is to start in 12 hours.
24 Switching Off the Dishwasher When the dishwasher cycle has ended, the dot-shaped light signal be- low the door of the appliance goes out. If the acoustic signal has been enabled, a continuous tone will sound for 15 seconds at the end of the dishwashing cycle.
25 Cleaning the Filters 3 The filters must be r egularly checked and cleaned. Dirty filters will spoil the wash results. 1. Open the door and remove the lower basket. 2. Turn the handle about ¼ of a turn anticlockwise (A) and remove the fil- ter system (B).
26 What to do if... Remedying Small Malfunctions In the event of a fault, the ligh t signal at floor level flashes. If the acousti c signal is activate d, warning tones sound if there ar e faults.
27 2 short warning tones continuously repeated can be heard. The cycle indicator for the selected dishwashing cycle is flashing, fault code Å2 0 is dis- played in the multi-d is- play . (Problems with water outflow) The sink spigot connection is blocked.
28 If the Dishwashing Results ar e not Satisfactory The dishes are still dirty . • The wrong dishwashing cycle was selected. • The dishes were loaded is such a way that the dishwashing water did not reach all items. The baskets for the dishes must not be overload- ed.
29 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials are envir onmentally friendly and can be r ecy- cled. The plastic components are id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at your local waste disposal facilities.
30 Notes for T est Institutes Testing in accor dance with EN 60 7 04 must be carried out with the appliance fully loaded and using th e test cycle (see “Cycle T able”).

33 Installing the Dishwasher • The dishwasher must be installed on a firm floor and adjusted to en- sure that it is stable and level in all dir ections. • To over come irr egularities in the floor and to match the height of the appliance to that of surround- ing units, extend the thr eaded feet using a screwdriver .
34 Fr ee-standing appliances 1 If the dishwasher is installed dir ect ly next to a cooker , a heat-insulat- ing, non-flammable panel (laminated with aluminium foil on the side next to th e cooker) must be fitt ed flush with the top edge of the wo rk surface (depth 57.
35 Connecting the Dishwasher Connecting to the water supply • The dishwasher must only be connected to a cold water supply . • The dishwasher must not be connect ed to open hot water appliances or instantaneous water heater s.
36 W ater drainage Drain hose 1 The drain hose must not be kinked, crushed or entangled.
