5 Installation Building-in Installing the machine i nto kitchen furni ture with proper char acteristics will ensure a correct operation of the e quipment.
6 • Unscrew the cable clamp av ailable on the machine. • Fix the power cable onto the machi ne as shown in the figure. • Connect the power cable as shown in the figure.
7 Installing the machine • Lay the U base plate of the machine on the shelf of the cabinet. • Insert the L plates, compensati ng for any space. The wid th of the housing un it the coffee machine depe nds on the thickness of the cabinetÊs sides.
8 • Fix the U base plate inserting 4 self-threading screws into the 4 fro nt holes of the same plate. Then screw the telescopic runners to each side with the remain ing 8 self-threading screw. • Insert the machine into the hous ing by coupling the machine to the runners fixed to the sides of the carcass.

11 Instructions for the first use Filling up the water reservoir • Squeeze together the unlockin g levers found under the dri p tray • Gently pull the coffee machine forward from the housing by sliding it along the telescopic runners.
12 • Remove the reservoir and fill it with approximate ly 2.5 litres of water as shown. • replace the water reservoir in its own ho using tankig care to fully e ngage the water valve into the docking sta tion. • Ensure the mains ON/O FF switch(at rear) is ON • push the machine back in to the housing until a „CLICK‰ can be heard.
13 Filling up the container with coffee beans • Press the unlocking levers located under th e drip tray and pul l the machine as it is shown in the figure. • pull the coffee machine forward from the housin g along the telescopic runn ers . • Pour approximately 200 g of coffee beans i nto the container on the top as shown i n the figure.
14 • Push the machin e back into the housin g until a „CLICK‰ can be heard. This indicate that the mac hine has been locked in position. Initial start-up • Put the main switc h in position 1 • The led corresponding to the ON-OFF con trol will blink rapi dly for 3 minutes.
15 Adjusting the texture ground coffee CAUTION This machine is calibrated in the factor y for an optimum level of ground coffee. Too „coarse‰ ground coffee will result in a weaker coffee. Too „fine‰ groun d coffee will result in very strong coffee, delivered by „drops‰ and tasting „bitter‰.
16 • Push the machine back into th e housing until a „click‰ can be heard. This indicates that the machine is locked in position. Stand-by mode • Once powered and inserted i nto the cabi net, the machine is in stand- by mode: this will be signaled by the on/off LED blinking.
17 Making coffee • Press the control corresponding to the desired selectio n. • Press the start control within 10 seconds an d the machine will make the coffee selec ted. • The machine will stop automatica lly CAUTION: the desired function will be disabled if the start control is not pressed within 10 seconds.
18 • The steam/water pipe can be moved to the back of the cabinet when no t in use. Hot water Pull forward when required. CAUTION: when HOT! To dispense hot water, place a container u nder the steam/water nozz le; then press the water control. • the desired amount is disp ensed.
19 Steam - Heating liquids • The steam/water pipe can be moved to the back of the cabinet when no t in use. Pull forward when required. CAUTION: Do not touch when HOT! • Press the steam control and the corres ponding indicator blinks for 20 s econds.
20 Programming the amount of coffee beans to be grinded • This espresso machine has already been calibrated in factory to dispense the ideal measure of ground coffee for one cup of espresso. • However this quantity of gro und coffee can be increased or reduced, then the select ed measure is stored.
21 • Once you have modified the coffee gr ound quantity, press the start contr ol for 10 seconds and the machine will automatically sa ve the quantity desired and it will return to stand-by mode. CAUTION: the correct grinding time can change if a different kind of coffee is used.
22 Programming the volume of coffee dispensed in the cup • The volume of coffee dispensed can be adjusted as desired as follows: • Press the espresso control. • Keep the start control presse d until the programme starts (approximately 5 seconds); the start control LED flas hes.
23 If you wish to reset the standard values Resetting standard values • This coffee machine is calibrated in th e factory to make the optimum Italian espr esso, the values set for the espr esso coffee distribute 30 cc, the values se t for the regular coffee is 80 cc.
24 Signal and alarms Water refill indicator • This machine has a sensor which detect s when the water reservoir is empty. • the reservoir empty led will il luminate.
25 Cleaning Outer parts • Clean the stainless steel parts of the machine with a soft cloth without using aggressive deterg ents . Never use any abrasive sponges nor steel wool to clean th e parts of steel.
26 Drip tray • Remove the drip tray from the machine as it is shown in the figures above. • Make sure that the drip tray is periodically drain ed to pr event any liquid from seeping out and dirtying/damaging the underlying furnit ure. Drip tray and relevant grill ca n be washed in a dishwasher.
27 • Replace the drawer and close the door. Replace the drip tray. Water reservoir • If the machine is not used for long per iods, change the wa ter in the reservoir and drain the boiler by pressing the coffee button several times. • Clean the water reservoir periodically .
