6 Introduction This manual is provided by WMH Tool Grou p covering the safe operation and maintenance procedures for the JET JBG Series Ben ch Grinders. This manual contains instructions on in stallation, safety precautions, general o perating procedures, mainten ance instructio ns and parts brea kdown.
7 Unpacking Separate all parts from the packin g material. Check each part against the Contents of the Shipping Container and make ce rtain that all items are accoun ted for before discarding a ny packing material.
8 Assembly Your bench grinder requires only the assembly of the eye shields and tool rests. F or your safety, do not plug the grinder into a power sou rce until all adjustments are complete. An adjusta ble wrench and a Phillips screwdriver are the only tools you will need to make all normal adjustments and wheel changes on this gri nder.

10 Electrical Electrical Requirements When connecting the bench grinde r to the power source outlet, the outlet must be properly grounded to protect the operator from electrical shock. In the event of a malfunction or br eakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance fo r electrical current to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
11 Operation A bench grinder is designed for ha nd-grinding operations such as sharpening chisels, screwdrivers, drill bits, removing excess metal, and smoothing metal surface s.
12 Maintenance For safety, turn the switch to OFF and remove plug from the power source outlet before adjusting and maintaining the bench grinder.
