1 DEAR JENSEN® CUSTOMER Selecting fine audio equipment such as the unit you've just purchased is only the start of your musical enjoyment. Now it's time to consider how you can maximize the fun and excitement your equipment offers.
2 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When used in the directed manner, this unit has been designed and manufactured to ensure your personal safety. However, improper use can result in potential electrical shock or fire hazards.
3 IMPORTANT NOTES Avoid installing the unit in locations described below: • Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters. • Places subject to constant vibration. • Dusty, humid or moist places.
4 PRODUCT FEATURES The SMPS-200 is a portable stereo speaker with the following features: Auxiliary input jack to play music from your iPod or digital audio player Play music from your computer via the USB port Digital volume control LOCATION OF CONTROLS 1.
5 INSTALLATION This unit can be operated either using 4 x “AAA” batteries (not included) or with a USB power adaptor with a rating of DC 5V, 1000mA via the mini USB connector on the back of the unit. USE THE BAT T ERY POWER 1.) Open the cover of the Battery Compartment located at the bottom of the unit.
6 USING USB POWER 1.) Plug the small end of the USB cable (in c luded) into the mini USB connector on the back of the unit. 2.) P lug t he la r ge end of t he USB c able in to your computer USB port if it supplies 5V DC, 1000mA or into a USB power adapter (not included) with an output port with rating DC 5V 1000mA.
7 PLAYING MUSIC FROM YOUR COMPUTER T o play music from a Windows or Mac OS X based personal computers. NOTE: (1) If you are using a USB power adaptor (not included) to power up this unit, you can only play music from your computer via AUX IN jack of this unit.
8 2.) Press the POWER button to turn on the power of the unit to let your computer detected this USB audio device. Y our computer should automatically switch to use this unit as a default system speaker after successful detection. If not, please go to your computer system preferences and set default sound output to “USB Audio Device”.
