12 1. Power off the camera and turn the camera SD Card sl ot faces you . 2. Inserting the SD ca rd, en suring you ori ent it correctly — please s ee the silkscreen b eside the SD card socke t. T o remove the SD card, push the SD ca rd inside and the SD card is released from the slot.
13 Recharging the Battery with the USB Port of your PC: 1. Switch off the camera. 2. Connect th e camera to the USB Port on your PC with th e USB cabl e (included). T he charging indi cator will li ght red. 3. After a period of time, the charging indicator will turn off.
14 2. Camera Settings Checking Camera Status Turn on the ca mera, and view the camera LCD scr een to ch eck which camera settings are active. If the feature i con is n ot displ ayed, i t means that particul ar featur e is not activated.
15 Setting Date & T ime The curre nt date and time can be record ed, and stor ed with the i mages or video cl ips. It is al so be used t o make Date / T ime S tam p on pictur e. Y ou can change t he Date & Tim e setting by the fol lowing ste ps: Turn on the camera, press “Mode” b utton and sel ect “Conf igurati on” Menu.

17 Turn on the camera, press “Mode” b utton and sel ect “Conf igurati on” Menu. Go down to “Lig ht Freq.” , select b etween “50Hz” and “60Hz” l ight fre quency .
18 3. T aking Pictures T aking a Picture 1. Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Capture mode. Now is ready t o take pictures. 2. Frame your subject using the LCD screen . 3. Press the Shutter button to take a picture, ho lding the camera steadily .
19 Digital zoom applies to all still pictures u ntil you manually turn it back , and can be con tinuously i n video mode. Zoom + Zoom - Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Ca pture mode. Press the “Up (Z oom In)” or “Down (Zoo m Out)” key to zoom in and out.
20 Note: The numbers are also be i nflu enced by the complexity of the pi cture. Scene complexity affects a picture’s file size. For example, th e file size of a pi cture with trees in autumn is l arger than that of the blue sk y at the same resolutio n setting.

23 4. Rec ording Video Clips Recording a Video Clip 1. Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Video Recordi ng mode. Now is ready to re cord vid eo. 2. Frame your subject using the LCD screen . 3. Press the Shutter button to start vi deo recor ding.

26 5. Rev iewing Pictures and Video Clips Thumbnail Display and Viewing Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Pl ayback mode. Press “OK” button to display 6 pi ctures of thumbnail for picture or video. Use “Up”, “Down”, “Left” and “Right” keys to select th umbnail fo r p layback or go t o n ext / previous thumbnail page.
