Battery Charging E 10 About Thermal Fuses Y our P ower Wheels ® 12 volt battery is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a self-resetting saf ety de vice which automatically “trips” and shuts do wn operation of the v ehicle if the v ehicle is ov erloaded or the driving conditions too sev ere.
11 Children can be har med b y small par ts, shar p edges and shar p points in the v ehicle’ s unassembled state , or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the v ehicle. Children should not handle par ts, including the batter y , or help in assembly of the v ehicle.
Assembl y 12 • T ur n the v ehicle body upside do wn. • Fit the left sidepipe under the left (driver) side of the vehicle body . • Inser t two #8 x 3 / 4 " scre ws through the top of the left sidepipe and into the screw pegs on the underside of the vehicle body .
Assembl y 7 13 • Bef ore applying labels to the dash, wipe the dash with a clean dr y cloth to mak e sure it is free of dir t and oils . Make sure y our hands are clean and dry . • Apply labels as shown in the illustr ation. For best results , av oid repositioning a label once it has been applied.
Assembl y 12 Steering Wheel Steering Wheel Cov er Ta b Ta b Sound Bo x Compar tment Sound Bo x • Place the sound bo x, speaker side do wn, into the center of the steering wheel. • Fit the tab at the top of the steering wheel cov er under the top edge of sound bo x compar tment.
Assembl y 15 15 • Fit the tabs on the back of a lens assemb ly into the headlight slots in the grille. • Press firmly to “ snap ” the lens assembly into the grille. • Repeat this procedure to assemble the other lens assembly into the g rille.
Assembl y 16 20 Windshield F rame - F ront Hinge Pins Windshield Brac ket • Rotate the front half windshield frame do wn so it la ys flat on the v ehicle body . • W orking from the center of the vehicle , inser t a hinge pin through the holes in the front windshield frame and the holes in each windshield brac ket, as sho wn.
• Inser t each end of the long seat belt strap through a slot in the center of the seat. Make sure the f asteners face the outer edge of the seat. • Pull each side of the long seat belt strap e venly through the slots. Make sure to pull each T -loop through a slot.
28 • Extend the canop y completely around the spor t bar . KC TM Light Cov ers 32 • Align the f our tabs on the inside of a light cov er with the f our slots in one of the light housings on the KC TM light rac k. Hint: Make sure the light co v ers are positioned with the wide tabs at the top . • Push firmly on the light cover to “ snap ” it to the light housing.
20 Assembl y T aillight Lens T aillight Housing Rear Bumper Light Plate • Using saf ety scissors, remo v e the taillight lenses and the taillight housings from the plastic connectors. Dispose of the plastic connectors. • F ace the rear of the vehicle.
21 38 Assembl y 37 • Lift the rear of the v ehicle. • Align the holes in the bumper tabs with the scre w pegs on the underside of the v ehicle body . • Inser t two #8 x 1" scre ws through the b umper tabs and into the v ehicle body . • Tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdriver .
™ Label Decoration 22 G ® Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the follo wing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remo v e any dust or oils .
Battery Installation H IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt battery . Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery f or at least 18 hours using the enclosed P ower Wheels ® 12 v olt charger bef ore operating y our vehicle f or the first time.
Battery Care and Disposal Battery Care and Disposal I If a battery leak develops, a void contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation belo w f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or ey es, flush with cool water f or at least 15 min utes and call a ph ysician.

A new batter y should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use.
