5 Introduction Your new digital projector is simple to co nnect, easy to use, and strai ghtforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector that is flexible enough fo r business presentation s and home video viewing too. IN2 124a has nat ive XGA 1024 x 768 reso lution, and IN2 126a has nativ e WXGA 1280 x 800 resolu tion.
6 Connector panel The projector provides both co mputer and video connection options, including: • VGA computer (2) • Composite video •H D M I •S - v i d e o • USB B connector (for projector.
7 Positioning the projector To determine where to position the projector, co nsider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipmen t. He re are some general guidelines: • Position the projector on a flat surface at a right angle to the screen.
8 Connecting a computer source VGA connection Connect one end of the provided compu ter cable to the Computer 1/Computer 2 connector on the projecto r and the other to the VGA connector o n your computer. If you are using a de sktop comp uter, you wil l need to discon nect the monitor cable fro m the computer’s video port f irst.
9 Displaying an image Press the Power button. The Power LED lights blue, and th e fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays. It can t ake up to a minute fo r the image to achieve full brightness. Note: When the feature, AC Power On, is enabled, th e projector aut omatically t urns on when power is connected.
10 Adjusting the image If necessary, adjust th e height of the projector by ro tating the elevator foot to extend t he foot. If necessary, rotate the levelin g foot lo cated at t he rear of th e projector. Avoid placin g your hand s near the hot exhaust vent at t he front of th e projecto r.
11 Connecting a video device You can connect video devices such as VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, digital cameras, video game console s, HDTV receivers, and TV tuners to the pro jector.
12 Shutting down the projector Auto Off Time The projector also has an Auto Off Time feat ure that automat ically turns the projecto r off after no active sources are detected and no u s er interact ion with th e projector is pe rformed for 30 minutes.

20 Using the remote control The remote uses two (2) AAA batteries (not provided). They are easily installed by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding them in to place, and then replacing the cover.
21 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audio source to the Audio 1/Audio 2 conn ectors to hear audio through the projector speakers. Amplified speakers may also be connected to the projector using the Audio Out conne ctor. To adjust the volume, pres s the Volum e buttons on the remote.
22 Using the keypad buttons Most buttons are descri bed in detail in oth er section s, but here is an ov erview of their functions: Power –turns t h e projector on and off (page 9). Right arrow - When the menu is displayed, the right arrow button navigates through the menu.
23 Optimizing computer images After the projector is running and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menu s. For general information on usin g the menus, see page 25. • Select default image settings using a preset appropriat e to your environme nt.
24 Optimizing video images After your video device is connected properly and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image usin g the onscreen menus. For general info rmation on using the menus, see page 25. • Adjust the Keyst one, Contrast, Brightness, Color, o r Tint ( page 26 ).
25 Using the menus 1 To open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically close after 60 seconds if no buttons are pressed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to review the menu o ptions. 2 To enter a submenu, highlight the desi red submenu and pres s > on the keypad or Select on remot e.
26 Basic Menu To adjust the following setti ngs, highlight the set ting, use the right and left arrows to adjust the values. Aspect Ratio : Aspect ratio is the ratio of the image width to image height. TV screens are usually 4:3. HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9.
27 Advanced Menu Image: 3D Control: 3D: allows you to enjoy 3D (ster eoscopic) content . Your projector s upports Auto, Top-Bottom, Frame Sequential , Frame Packing, Side-by-Side for c ontrolling LCD shut- ter glasses. In addition to th e projector, yo u will need a pair of 3 D shutter glasses, 3D content, a nd 3D com patible so urce.
28 Setup: Audio Setup... Intern al Spea kers : turns the int ernal speaker on or of f. Computer 1 : selects t he audio input fo r Computer 1 signal. Computer 2 : selects t he audio input fo r Computer 2 signal. Video : selects the audio input for video source.
29 Lamp... Programmed Dimming : When enabled, Programmed Dim ming enhances contrast ratios, lamp life and system noise performanc e. Lamp power will change continuously based on the brightness of the pr ogram content. Note: Image anomalies may be seen when image scenes change from dark to light (or light to dark).
30 Timer Auto Off Time : automati cally turns the p rojector of f after no signals are detected for a preset number of minutes. If an active sign al is received before the projector p owers down, the image will be displayed.
31 Controlling the projector through a LAN environment The projector support s Crestron ® software. Wi th correct settings for the Network menu, you can manage the projector from a computer using a web browser when the compu ter and the projector are properly connected to th e sa me local area network.
32 Wireless connection To connect to the projector wirelessly, yo u need to plug an optional InFocus wireless dongle (p/n SP-WIFIUSB-2) to the USB Type A connector on the projector. How to setup AP mode: 1 Make sure the pro jector is turned on. 2 Select Type-A from s ource list.
33 Web controlling the projector Once you have the correct IP address for the project or and the projector is on or in standby mode, you can use any computer that is on the same local area network to control the projecto r. • If you are using Microsoft Inte rnet Explorer, make sure it is version 7.
34 About Crestron e-Control ® 1 The Crestron e-Control ® page provides a variety of virtual keys to control the projector or adjust the projector’s image. i. These bu ttons function the same as the OSD menus and remote con trol functions. • Source List: To switch the source, click on the desired source.

36 Crestron RoomView From the Crestron RoomView software in the Edit Room page, enter the IP Address (or hostname) as sho wn on th e proj ector’s o n-screen display (OS D) menu, “05” for IPID, and “41794” for the reserved Crestron control port.
37 Using EZ Display i. Split Screen : Display up to 2 computer s or mobile devices in Split Screen using the L and R buttons. ii. Mirror/Extended Display : To duplicate your co mputer display onto the pr o- jector, click Mirror . To ex tend your desktop display onto the projector, click Extension .

39 EZ Display: Streaming Doc To stream your documents, transfer th e documents you want from the computer to your mobile de vice and disconnect your mobile device. Do cuments will be organized by their format type. Select a file to display it wirelessly.
40 EZ Display: Streaming Web The web browser will be dis played over WiFi. The Sketch and Save function s are also supported. This feature requires a Client Mode internet connection. See page 32 for more details. Select Web browser, and enter t he passcode on the Client Info page.
41 EZ Display: Split Screen EZ Display allows 2 di fferent sources to be displayed in the same screen. NOTE: • Hybrid OS support: Window s, Mac OS, iOS, and Android • Supports all web, sketch and other functions except EZ Stream. EZ USB Display The EZ Display software is an easy to use software applic ation for Windows-based an d Mac OS 10.

50 LiteBoard ™ Wand The optional LiteBoard™ Wand (p/n HW-LBWAND-02), when com bined with the LiteBoard Wand dongle (p/n HW-L BRADIO), wo rks like a wireless mouse - but one that works in midair, not on your desktop. Just hold the wan d in your hand, and point it at the projected image to point, click and drag.
51 Wand Position and Avoiding Shadows Your Location Distance from the Screen You can use the LiteBoard™ Wand right up agai nst the screen, or around the room . You might find that your pointing accuracy will improve if you get closer to the screen. Also , avoid standing too far off from either side of the screen.
52 Wand Features Buttons and Wand Tip The wand's buttons are equi valent to the left and right buttons on a mouse. The wa nd's tip is al so a button, and is equivalent to the le ft mouse button. Battery Light The red battery light shows the status of the wand's built-in battery (see below for battery information).

54 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth. • Projector must be off and the lens must be at ro om temperature. • Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner, and don’t apply the cleaner directly to the lens.
55 Replacing the projection lamp The Lamp Hours timer in the Projector Info me nu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use . • NOTE : Be sure to us e the InFocus lamp module designed for this projector. You can order new lamps from www.infocus.
