4 Introduction Your new digital projector is simple to co nnect, easy to use, and st raightforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector that is flexible enough fo r business presentatio ns and home video viewing too.

6 Positioning the projector To determine where to position the projector, co nsider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipmen t. He re are some general guidelin es: • Position the pro jector on a flat surface at a right angle t o the screen.
7 Connecting a computer source VGA connection Connect one end of the provided compu ter cable to the Co mputer 1/Computer 2 connector on the projecto r and the other to the VGA connector on yo ur computer. If you are using a de sktop comp uter, you w ill need to discon nect the monitor cable fro m the computer’s video port f irst.
8 Displaying an image Press the Power button. The Power LED lights blue, and the fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays. It can t ake up to a minute fo r the image to achieve full brightness. Note: When the feature, AC Power On, is enabled, th e projector autom atically turn s on when power is connected.
9 Adjusting the image If necessary, adjust th e height of the projector by ro tating the elevator fo ot to extend the foot. If necessary, rotate th e leveling foot located at the rear of th e projector. Avoid placin g your ha nds near the hot exhau st vent at t he front of th e projecto r.
10 Connecting a video device You can connect v ideo devices such as VCRs, DV D players, camcor ders, digital cameras, video game consoles, HDTV receivers, and TV tuners to the pr ojector.

19 Using the remote control The remote uses two (2) AAA batteries (not provided). They are easily installed by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding them in to place, and then replacing the cover.
20 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audio source to the Audio 1/Audio 2 conn ectors to hear audio through the projector speakers. Amplified speakers may also be connected to the pro jector using the Audio Out connector. To adjust the volume, pres s the Volume buttons on the remote.
21 Using the keypad buttons Most buttons are descri bed in detail in oth er sections, but here is an overview of their functions: Power –turns the projector on and off (page 8). Right arrow - When the menu is displayed, the right arrow button navigates through the menu.
22 Optimizing computer images After the projector is running and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menu s. For general information on using the m enus, see page 24. • Select default image settings using a preset appropriate to your environment.
23 Optimizing video images After your video d evice is connected properly and the i mage is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menus. For general information on using the menus, see page 24. • Adjust the Keystone, Contrast, Brightness, Co lor, or Tint ( page 25 ).
24 Using the menus 1 To open the menus, press the Menu button on the ke ypad or remote. (The menus automatically cl ose after 60 second s if no buttons are pre ssed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to review the menu options. 2 To enter a submenu, highlight the desi red submenu and pres s > on the keypad or Select on remot e.
25 Basic Menu To adjust the following setti ngs, highlight the setting, use the right and left arrows to adjust the values. Aspect Ratio : Aspect ratio is the ratio of the image width to image height. TV screens are usually 4:3. HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9.
26 Advanced Menu Image: 3D Control: 3D: allows you to enjoy 3D (ster eoscopic) content. Your projector suppor ts Auto, Top-Bottom, Frame Sequential , Frame Packing, Side-by-Side for c ontrolling LCD shut - ter glasses. In addition to th e projector, yo u will need a pair of 3D shutter glasses, 3D content, a nd 3D com patible so urce.
27 Setup: Audio Setup... Intern al Spea kers : turns the int ernal speaker on or of f. Computer 1 : selects the audio i nput for Computer 1 signal. Computer 2 : selects the audio i nput for Computer 2 signal. Video : selects the audio input for video source .
28 Lamp... Programmed Dimming : When enabled, Programmed Dim ming enhances contrast ratios, lamp life and system noise performanc e. Lamp power will change continuously based on the brightness of the pr ogram content. Note: Image anomalies may be seen when image scenes change from dark to light (or light to dark).
29 Timer Auto Off Time : automati cally turns the p rojector of f after no signals are detected for a preset number of minutes. If an active sign al is received before the projecto r powers down, the image will be displayed.

34 EZ Display: Streaming Doc To stream your documents, transfer th e documents you want from the computer to your mobile de vice and disconnect your mobile device. Documents wil l be organized by their format type. Select a file to display it wirelessly.
35 EZ Display: Streaming Web The web browser will be dis played over WiFi. The S ketch and Save functions are also supported. This feature requires a Client Mode internet conn ection. See page 29 for more details. Select Web browser, and enter t he passcode on the Client Info page.
36 EZ Display: Quad Split Screen EZ Display allows 4 different sources to be displayed in the same screen. Through Split Screen Control, you can decide whe re your current display shoul d be placed.

45 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth. • Projector must b e off and the le ns must be at room temperat ure. • Avoid using an ex cessive amount of clean er, and don’t apply the c leaner directly to the lens.
