2 TSS-FMK4000 I NTRODUCTION The TSS-FMK4000 allows you to recess a TSS-SA T4000 or TSS-CENTER4000 into the wall. When installed, the speaker will extend beyond the wall approximately 1 . " Unpacking the Components Finish unpacking the f lush-mount kit and check the contents.
3 TSS-FMK4000 St ep One Remov e both end caps of the speaker by unscr ewing the single center screws . St ep T wo Attach both of the end brackets to the speaker ends with the 1/4-20 x 3/4" flat-head machine scr ew , as shown.
4 TSS-FMK4000 St ep Three After you hav e found the cor r ect placement on the wall for the speaker , use the template pro vided to dra w the exact-sized hole requir ed. Make sure to use a le v el when positioning the template to ensure that your installation is le v el.
5 TSS-FMK4000 St ep Fiv e Attach speaker wires as descr ibed in the speaker’ s owner’ s manual and, using four #8 x 1 - 1 /8" pan-head wood scr ews pro vided, screw the speaker assembly into place, making sur e that the screws anchor themselv es into the mounting blocks behind the drywall.
6 TSS-FMK4000 St ep Seven Remov e the paper cov er fr om the gasket on the speaker -f acing side of the frame . Place the frame ov er the in-wall assembly and snap it into place.
