19 2 V OLANT DE DIRECTION • Monter la rallonge d'arbre de direction (1). • Positionner le cache sur la colonne de direction. S'assurer que les ergots du cache colonne de direction sont bien clipsés dans les quatre orifi ces du tab leau de bord.
20 2 Seat Remov e the hardware securing seat to the cardboard pack ing and set the hardware aside f or assemb ly of seat to tractor . Pivot seat upw ard and remov e from cardboard pac king. Re- mov e the cardboard packing and discard. Place seat on seat pan so head of shoulder bolt is positioned ov er large slotted hole in pan (1).

23 T O ADJUST GA UGE WHEELS Gauge wheels are properly adjusted when they are slightly off the ground when mow er is at the desired cutting height in operating position. Gauge wheels then keep the dec k in proper position to help pre vent scalping in most terr ain con di tions.

The cruise control should only be used while mowing or transpor ting on relativ ely smooth, straight surf aces. Other conditions such as trimming at slow speeds ma y cause the cruise control to disengage.

66 6 0231 4 Replacement of drive belt for cutting unit 1. Dismantle the cutting unit as described previously . 2. Work off the belt from the unit's left pulle y and then from the other wheels. 3. Pull the belt aw a y from the cutting unit. 4. The new belt is mounted in the re verse order .

Dismantle the motion restrainer f or the clutch (2). 4. Engage the parking brake and work off the belt upwards from the pulley (3), the clutch pulle y (4).
70 6 TRANSAXLE COOLING The f an and cooling fi ns of transmission should be kept clean to assure proper cooling. Do not attempt to clean f an or transmission while engine is running or while the transmission is hot. • Inspect cooling f an to be sure f an blades are intact and clean.
