29 00778 4. Gear shift lever The gear bo x has positions forw ard, neutral and re verse. Gear changing can take place from neutral to top gear with- out stopping in each gear position. Disengage the motor at each gear position! Star t can take place irrespectiv e of the gear le ver position.

35 01362 4 Tire air pressure Check the tire pressure regularly . The pres sure in the front tire should be 1 bar (14 PSI) and 0.8 bar (12 PSI) in the back tires . 40 5 Cutting tips • Clear the la wn from stones and other objects which can be thrown a wa y by the b lades. • Localize and mark stones and other fi xed objects to av oid collision. • Begin with a high cutting height and reduce until the required cutting result is obtained.

T oujours rouler per pendiculairement à la pente, aussi bien en montant, qu'en descendant.
43 5 Drive in right tur ns so that the cut grass is thro wn aw ay from fl ower beds and paths, etc. For larger la wns the drive di rec tion should be changed after 2-3 turns so that the cut grass is thro wn towards the area that has already been cut as shown in the illustration.

52 6 Blades F or best results mower b lades must be kept sharp . Re place bent or damaged blades . Sharpening can be carr ied out with a fi le or grinding disc. NO TE! It is very impor tant that both blades are sharpened equally to av oid imbalance. BLADE REMO V AL: • Raise mower to highest position to allow access to blades .

57 6 Replacement of drive belt for cutting unit 1. Dismantle the cutting unit as described previously . 2. W ork off the belt from the unit's left pulley and then from the other wheels. 3. Pull the belt awa y from the cutting unit. 4. The new belt is mounted in the rev erse order .
