3 I. T raining • Read the instructions carefully . Be familiar with the con trols and the proper use of the equipment. • Never allow children or people unfamiliar with the ins truc - tions to use the lawnmower . Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator .
4 • Reduce the throttle setting during engine run-out and, if the engine is provided with a shut-off valve, turn the fuel off at the conclusion of mowing. IV . Maintenance and Storage • K eep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equip ment is in safe working condition.

12 • Prima di lasciare il posto di guida, o dell’operatore: - disinnestare la leva di comando della presa di forza ed abbassare gli accessori; - portare la leva sulla posizione di folle ed innestare il freno di parcheggio; - spegnere il motore e togliere le chiavi.

19 2 TO ADJUST GAUGE WHEELS Gauge wheels are properly adjusted when they are slightly off the ground when mower is at the desired cutting height in operating position. Gauge wheels then keep the deck in proper position to help prevent scalping in most terrain con di tions.

41 5 PURGE TRANSMISSION T o ensure proper operation and performance, it is rec om - mend ed that the transmission be purged before op er at ing tractor for the first time. This pro ce dure will remove any trapped air inside the trans mis sion which may have de vel oped during ship ping of your tractor .

46 Cutting tips • Clear the lawn from stones and other objects which can be thrown away by the blades. • Localize and mark stones and other fixed objects to avoid collision. • Begin with a high cutting height and reduce until the required cutting result is obtained.

The risk for roll-over back wards is large. • In steep terrain the risk for tipping is considerable. • Avoid stopping and starting in sloping terrain. 57 6 Operator Presence System and Reverse Opera- tion System (ROS) Be sure operator presence and reverse operation sys tems are work ing properly . If your tractor does not function as described, repair the problem immediately .

59 Blades For best results mower blades must be kept sharp. Re place bent or damaged blades. Sharpening can be carried out with a file or grinding disc. NOTE! It is very important that both blades are sharpened equally to avoid imbalance. BL ADE REMOVAL: • Raise mower to highest position to allow access to blades.

61 T o Check Brake If tractor requires more than five (5) feet to stop at highest speed in high est gear on a level, dry concrete or paved sur - face, then brake must be serviced. Y ou may also check brake by: 1. P ark tractor on a level, dry concrete or paved surface, depress brake pedal all the way down and engage park- ing brake.
62 T o remove mower • Place attachment clutch in “DISENGAGED” position. • Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position. • Disengage belt tension rod (K) from lock bracket (L). CAUTION: Belt tension rod is spring loaded. Have a tight grip on rod an d release slowly .
63 Assembly of the cutting unit • Push in the cutting unit under the machine. The ejector opening should be to the right. • Assemble in the reverse order to dismantling. Einbau des Mähdecks • Mähdecks unter den T raktor schieben. Die Auswurfoffnung muß nach rechts.

67 T o Level Mower Make sure tires are properly inflated to the PSI shown on tires. If tires are over or under inflated, it may affect the appearance of your lawn and lead you to think the mower is not adjusted properly . VISUAL SIDE- TO-SIDE ADJUSTMENT 1.

72 De maaiunit nivelleren Zorg ervoor dat de banden tot de PSI-waarde die op de banden zelf staat aangegeven zijn opgepompt. Als de banden te hard of te zacht zijn, kan dat het uiterlijk van uw grasveld beïnvloeden zodat u denkt dat de maaiunit niet goed is afgesteld.
73 TRANSAXLE COOLING The fan and cooling fins of transmission should be kept clean to assure proper cooling. Do not attempt to clean fan or transmission while engine is running or while the transmission is hot. • Inspect cooling fan to be sure fan blades are intact and clean.

The following steps should be taken when mowing season is over: • Clean the entire machine, especially underneath the cutting unit cover . Do not use high pressure washer for cleaning. Water can enter engine and transmission and shorten the useful life of the machine.
