14 MAINTENANCE LUBRICA TION CHART GENERAL REC OM MEN DA TIONS The warranty on this sno w throw er does not cov er items that hav e been sub ject ed to operator abuse or negligence. T o receive full v alue from the warranty , operator must maintain snow thro wer as in str uct ed in this manual.
15 MAINTENANCE V- B E LT S Check V -belts f or deter ioration and wear after e very 50 hours of operation and replace if necessary . The belts are not ad just able . Replace belts if they begin to slip from wear . (See “T O REMO VE BEL T COVER” in the Ser vice and Adjustments section of this manual).
16 SER VICE AND ADJUSTMENTS W ARNING: T o av oid serious injur y , before perf orming any service or ad- just ments: 1. Be sure throttle is in ST OP position. 2. Remove safety ignition ke y . 3. Make sure the augers and all mov ing parts have completely stopped.
17 SER VICE AND ADJUSTMENTS T O REPLA CE BEL TS (See Fig. 24) The auger and traction drive belts are not adjustab le. If the belts are damaged or begin to slip from wear , they should be replaced. It is recommended that the belt(s) be replaced by a qualifi ed service center .
18 ST ORA GE Immediately prepare your sno w thrower f or storage at the end of the season or if the unit will not be used for 30 da ys or more. W ARNING: Never store the sno w thro wer with gaso line .
