Separate cardboard cov er from le veling shield. • Rotate tiller handle to the right and pull tiller out of car ton.

10 RUN CHOKE OPERA TION • Soil conditions are impor tant f or proper tilling. Tines will not readily penetrate dry , hard soil which ma y con trib ute to e xcessive bounce and diffi cult handling of your tiller . Hard soil should be mois tened before tilling; howe ver , e xtremely wet soil will “ball-up” or clump during tilling.
11 MAINTENANCE GENERAL RECOMMEND A TIONS The warranty on this tiller does not co ver items that ha v e been subjected to operator ab use or negligence. T o receive full value from the w arranty , the operator must main tain tiller as instructed in this manual.

TILLER T O ADJUST HANDLE HEIGHT (See Fig. 20) Select handle height best suited f or your tilling conditions. Handle height will be diff erent when tiller digs into soil.

18 Immediately prepare your tiller f or storage at the end of the season or if the unit will not be used f or 30 days or more . W ARNING: Ne ver store the tiller with gasoline in the tank inside a build ing where fumes may reac h an open fl ame or spark.
