4 1 • G e t t i n g R e a d y T o install a ceiling fan, b e sure you can do the following: • Locate the ceiling joist or othe r suitable supp ort in ceiling . • Drill holes for and install wo od screws . • Identif y and connect electrical wires.

7 fsdf sdf 4 • W i r i n g t h e Fa n Wire Nut All wiring must b e in accordance wi th national and loc al elec trical code s and ANSI/NFP A 70-1999. If you a re unfamiliar wi th wiring, use a qu alified elec trician . W all switches are not included.

11 7-6. T o attach the lower switch housing, conne ct the upper plug connector from the motor to t he lower plug connector in the lower switc h housing ass embly . Note: Both plug conne ctors ar e polarized and will only fit toget her one way . Make sure the c onnectors are properly aligned before connecting them.
