Dual-Card Dual-Standby Your mobile phone supports dual-card dual-s tandby mode, which c an significant ly reduce po wer consumpt ion and increase y our phone's s tandby time. Note that two restrictions exist: • When you make calls us ing one SIM card, the other SIM card is disabled.
Getting to know your phone Thank you for choosing the HUAWEI smartphone. First, let's take a look at a few basics: Press and hold the power button to power on your phone. After your phone is powered on, you can use the power button to turn the screen of f and on.
Preparing your phone To insert a SIM card, the battery and a microSD card, please perform the few step s shown in the follow ing figures. Your phone is shipped with th e battery partial ly charged. It is recommended that you full y charge the battery before using it for the first tim e.
Dual-Card Management Your mobile phone supports acces s to both WCDMA and GSM networks. Follow the on screen instructions or the quick start guide to insta ll SIM cards.
Locking and unlocking the screen When you are not using your phone, press the power button to turn off the screen. After being idle fo r a specified period o f time, your phone automatically locks its screen. Follow the onscreen instructions and dr ag to unl ock the screen or open an application.
Personalizing your Home screen The unique Me Widget can group widgets that yo u often use. You can touch an icon to open a widget. Touch and hold Me Widget until your phone vibrates, and then touch Touch to custom ize to c ust omi ze you r Me Widget.
Managing contacts Touch to open People . Touch the tab page to group your cont acts fo r easier management. Create contact 10:30.
Making a call Touch to open the dialer. You can dial a phone number directly or touch to choose a cont act. You can also touch a phone number i n places like messages, email and w e bpages to make a call.
Sending messages Touch to open Messaging . Adding a photo or audio clip to a text mes sage turns it into a multi media messa ge. You can also save a ttachments from m ultimedia messages.
Taking a photo or video Touch to open Camera . In photo mode, let your camera fo cus automatically or touch the screen to focus th e camera. Then touch to take a photo.
Listening to music Touch to open Music . You can play songs by name, artist, album and mo re. You can also mark your f avorite songs to add them to the My favor ites playlist.
Surfing the web Touch to open Browser . You can start surfing th e web right away using your phone's browser and stay on ball with up-to-date n ews and inform ation. Your browser supports multi-pag e browsing. Touch to switch between pages. consumer.
