6 0702 F A 500.2 5. T ransportation, installation • During transport, observe the high centre of gravity of the paper shredder! • Place the pallet with the shredder in its packaging on a smooth, level surface. • Observe the instructions for unpacking.
0702 7 F A 500.2 • Insert the connecting screw (5) and the clamp (6) on the end of the hose and secure the unit on the oiler . • Pour the oil into the oiler container from the two bot- tles supplied. Ready for operation Green LED Light has no function.
8 0702 F A 500.2 7. Start-up and inspecting the safety devices Check that the safety devices are working properly: • At the start of each shift • After any maintenance or repair work Do not start the machine until you have checked the safety devices and found them to be in perfect working order .

10 0702 F A 500.2 8. Malfunctions Check the following before calling customer service: • Is the power plug connected? • Is the shredder switched on? • Is there a paper jam in the shredder? • Has the motor been overloaded? Paper jam Y ou have fed in too much paper .
0702 11 F A 500.2 Checking the chain tension (twice yearly) • Switch off the shredder . • Pull out the power plug. • Remove the left side cover . The sagging of the chain should be 9 to 14 mm. If you need to tighten the chain: • Loosen the clamping nuts (1).
12 0702 F A 500.2 Tightening the feed belt The feed belt should not slip when loaded with material. • Switch off the shredder . • Remove the feeding table and the left and right side covers. • Loosen the hexagon nuts (1) of the tension roll on the left and right side.
